My mother told me that a good friend is like a mirror. I am quieter and more stable than most children. That's why I like to read and study harder in class. My best friend Yuan Li is also very quiet, so we enjoy studying together. I am very shy so making friends is not easy for me. But I think friends are like books—you don’t need a lot as long as they’re good.

(Like friends) is not necessary. My best friend Larry is very different from me. He is taller and more outgoing than me. We both like sports, but he is better at tennis, so he always wins. However, Larry often helped bring out the best in me. So I play tennis better. However, Larry is not very diligent in studying. I always get better results than him, so maybe I should help him more.

I really don’t mind if my friends are the same as me or different. My favorite quote is: "A true friend is someone who has a helping hand and touches your heart." My best friend Carol is really kind and funny. In fact, she's funnier than anyone I know. I broke my arm last year but she made me happy and feel better. We can talk and share everything. I know she cares about me because she is always there to listen (to what I say).
