My gradual understanding of Comrade Xinmin can be roughly divided into three stages.
The first stage was the construction and commissioning of FAW in the early 1950s.
1July 5, 956, FAW made, and China finally got his own car. At that time, FAW builders can be divided into three categories: first, veteran cadres and workers transferred from all over the country. The former is mainly leading cadres at all levels, while the latter leads young people to master production technology. Comrade Xinmin belongs to this category.
The second is to transfer college students from major universities across the country. I belong to this kind of person who goes to infrastructure first, then goes to various business departments and grows into the main force of the factory.
The third is demobilized soldiers. Most of them took part in infrastructure construction, and some of them entered technical schools. After training, they became the first generation of automobile workers in China.
Comrade Xinmin 1954 transferred to FAW. He is from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. 1950 After graduating from the Economics Department of Nanjing University, he was assigned to the Nanjing Finance and Economics Committee to do planning work. 1954, Jiangsu Province transferred 100 more cadres to support the construction of FAW, Nanjing Finance and Economics appointed one person, and Comrade Xinmin was selected.
From Nanjing to Changchun, his car life has been confirmed. After arriving at FAW, Comrade Xinmin was assigned to the planning section of the heat treatment workshop of FAW Chassis Factory, starting from the grass-roots workers and becoming the planning section chief. After the FAW factory was put into production, I was assigned to the tool factory to prepare for production.
Jiefang brand car has more than 7000 parts, and each part has to go through dozens of processes from blank to finished product. Tools include knives, accessories, measuring tools, stamping dies and all kinds of hot working auxiliary equipment, about 200 thousand varieties, which should be supplied to the first-line production workshop on time and in quantity.
The heat treatment workshop needs all kinds of instruments and instruments, and all kinds of regular or damaged parts of the heat treatment furnace. So the director asked me to go to various workshops for investigation in order to improve the supply of tools. Every time I went to the heat treatment workshop, I was received by Comrade Xinmin. In addition, if there are any urgently needed tools in the heat treatment workshop, he will also go to the tool factory to provide the product status of the urgently needed tools, and we will talk from time to time.

The second stage is1late 1950s to1late 1980s.
1959, the first machinery department (the first machinery industry department) separated the automobile and agricultural machinery, and established the automobile bureau, which was subordinate to the first machinery department. At the end of that year, Comrade Rao Bin, director of FAW, was transferred to the position of Deputy Minister of the First Machinery Department and Director of the Automobile Bureau. Due to the lack of management cadres, more than 60 people (including about 80 family members) were transferred from FAW to Beijing. Comrade Xinmin, his wife Wang Yongshu and I were all among them, and they were all assigned to work in the Planning Department of the Automobile Bureau.
Comrade Xinmin went to work in the planning department (planning department), and I was assigned to the general department (planning department) to engage in parts business. There are about 30 people in the planning department Due to business needs, we often communicate and get a lot of help from him.
At the beginning of 1980, the Automobile Bureau was changed to China Automobile Industry Company, and China Automobile Parts Industry Company was established, specializing in automobile parts business. I was appointed as the deputy general manager of China Auto Parts Industry Company, in charge of planning and technology.
The general manager of China Auto Parts Industry Company is Du Zhitang, Deputy Director of Automobile Bureau. At this time, Comrade Xinmin is the deputy general manager of China Automobile Industry Company, mainly responsible for planning. I am led by him in business, and many major events need to be reported to him for improvement.
During the Cultural Revolution, the Ministry sent a large number of cadres to study in cadre schools. Comrade Xinmin and I were both sent to work in the May 7th Cadre School in Fengxin County, Jiangxi Province. He is the office director in the cadre school, and I am the deputy platoon leader in the second company. At that time, Li Guo, Meng Shaonong and other comrades were in my platoon.
I stayed in the ultra-leftwing for more than a year. 197 1 The Ministry asked me to go back, but the company commander refused, saying that I had only been there for more than a year and my ideological transformation was not in place. But Comrade Xinmin knew my difficulty and transferred me to the office of the school department, which I can't even manage. China Automobile Industry Company also established China Automobile Industry Engineering Consulting Company, with me as the general manager, and organized a group of veteran comrades to lead young people to make feasibility reports for many technology introduction and joint ventures.
1989 we lack the evaluation experience of the joint venture project of the Second Automobile Company (now Dongfeng Company). China Automobile Industry Federation, as an industry association of automobile industry, continues to be retained as a pilot, belonging to China Automobile Industry Group Corporation.
Comrade Xinmin is in charge of the plan. I reported to him and invited him to participate in the evaluation of the second automobile company to determine the approval result of the feasibility study report. In this way, I organized an expert group of about 30 people and stayed in No.2 Automobile Company for more than a month. Comrade Xinmin went back and forth twice, completed the evaluation report, submitted it to the State Planning Commission and the State Council, and the state approved it. This is a key support for my work by Comrade Xinmin.
65438+early 1980s,? The state organizes post evaluations of senior economists and engineers in various ministries and commissions. At that time, we did not have the technical title of economist. The automobile industry chooses to pilot in China Automobile Industry Group Corporation. Comrade Xinmin talked to me and asked me to participate in the pilot project of senior economist title. I originally wanted to participate in the pilot project of the title of senior engineer, but he said that economic management is very important in the higher authorities, which made me pay attention to this work.
Soon, I was rated as a senior economist of China Automobile Industry Corporation. Comrade Xinmin also organized senior economists and engineers to evaluate senior titles in various automobile groups. During this period, I participated in the evaluation of senior titles of FAW Group, Dongfeng Company and SAIC Group, including economists, designers and engineers. When evaluating an enterprise, you will get a subsidy if you read an application monograph. Comrade Xinmin joked that you made a small fortune.

During this period, some planning activities of the China Automobile Advisory Committee need to ask Comrade Xinmin for instructions and organize after reaching an agreement. Comrade Xinmin is very supportive of my work, and we strive to make the work of China Automobile Advisory Committee better and more popular with enterprises.
After 2000, due to age and physical reasons, the work of China Automobile Advisory Committee was entrusted to new "young" comrades. Let's take part in some activities as much as possible.
