Josep Guardiola i Sala (Josep Guardiola i Sala) was born on January 18, 1971 in Santepedo, Catalonia, Spain. He is a former Spanish professional football player who served as a player in La Liga. Head coach of FC Barcelona and Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. Currently serves as the head coach of Manchester City Football Club in the Premier League.

Guardiola spent most of his playing career with Barcelona. During Cruyff's "Dream Team" era, he helped the team win the first UEFA Champions League title in the team's history. He served as captain for the team's last four years. After leaving Barcelona, ??he joined Brescia, Roma, Al-Ahli, Sinaloa and other teams. In 2008, he served as the head coach of Barcelona.
