Nantong, referred to as Tongzhou for short, was called Jinghai, Chongzhou, Chongchuan and Zilang in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province and the central city of the Yangtze River Delta. Invited by Shanghai and Suzhou Lighting, Nantong is the economic center and modern port city of China Yangtze River Delta determined by the State Council.
