Five pieces of underwear, panties, shirts, panties and jackets.
Wuziyi is a wedding custom in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province. It refers to the five pieces of clothing provided by the husband's family when a woman gets married. In the old days, when men and women got married, there was a custom that a daughter would not wear a single piece of yarn from her mother's family when she got married. Therefore, even if the family was rich or poor, it was essential for the man's family to give the girl's family a set of "five-child clothes" as a betrothal gift. The name "Wuziyi" actually means wishing "continuous birth of precious children".
