Hello everyone! The theme of my speech today is "Stay away from drugs and live a healthy life". Drugs have become a major public hazard in today's world. Governments and people around the world are actively and effectively carrying out "anti-drug" struggles and severely cracking down on drug crimes. In the anti-drug struggle, our party and country have shown great concern for minors and have put forward the call for “anti-drug propaganda to start from childhood.” Today I want to talk about three aspects:

1. What are drugs? What harm does it do to people?

The so-called drugs refer to opium, heroin, methamphetamine, morphine, marijuana, cocaine, and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs controlled by the state that can cause human addiction. Smoking these drugs can damage the human brain, affect the function of the central nervous system, blood circulation and respiratory system. It can also reduce the body's immune function and make it susceptible to various diseases. In severe cases, it can cause loss of working ability and even death. Drugs destroy people's souls, harm human health, destroy happy families, pollute the social environment, endanger social security, undermine economic construction, and devour the younger generation. They are really a disaster for the country and the people! The only way to prevent drug infringement and the most effective way is: stay away from drugs and never take drugs!

2. Drug abuse and drug trafficking are not tolerated by the law of the country and will be severely punished by law!

In order to prevent and punish drug-related crimes, protect the physical and mental health of citizens, and maintain social order, in December 2007, our country promulgated the "Anti-Drug Law of the People's Republic of China" to regulate drug use, drug trafficking, etc. Illegal and criminal acts, the relevant legal responsibilities and punishment provisions are clarified - taking drugs and selling drugs are illegal and criminal acts, and once you take drugs or sell drugs... you will be severely punished by the law. Therefore, we must know the law and abide by it, and actively participate in the anti-drug struggle to contribute to maintaining social stability.

3. How should our primary school students participate in the anti-drug fight?

Students, it is the common responsibility of the whole society to prevent and punish drug-related crimes, protect the physical and mental health of citizens, and maintain social order. You are the little masters of society, and you must also actively participate in the anti-drug struggle - firstly, you must recognize the dangers of drugs and never get involved in drugs yourself; secondly, you must carry out anti-drug propaganda to the people around you, so that everyone can stay away from drugs and live a healthy life; thirdly, If we find someone taking drugs or selling drugs, we must persuade them promptly or report them to the public security organs.
