Confucius visited a temple and saw a vessel that was tilted and easily covered. The temple guards said it was a vessel for sitting.
Confucius said: "I heard that when the sitting utensil is empty, it is leaning (tilted), when it is in the middle, it is upright, and when it is full, it is overturned. Mingjun always places it on the right side of his seat."
Confucius asked his disciples to pour water, and it was true.
Confucius sighed: How can everything be full but not full?"

You think you are inferior to others; but you are eight feet tall and just his servant, but you are so high-spirited and arrogant. You have no future like this, so I want a divorce. "
After hearing these words, the coachman became modest, prudent and diligent. After Yan Ying learned about it, he also worked hard to train him. Later, the coachman became a doctor.
Confucius especially admired Yan Zi The way to make friends is Yanzi. The longer the friendship lasts, the more respectful and courteous he will be, and the more respected he will be by others, so that he can do it from beginning to end. When Gongsun Chi, a disciple of Confucius, was on an envoy to the state of Qi, Ran Qiu asked Confucius for some grain subsidies on behalf of his mother.
Confucius said: "Give her six measures and four liters. "
Ran Qiu asked for more.
Confucius said, "Give her two more buckets and four liters." "
Ran Qiu thought it was too little, so he gave Gongsun Chi's mother more.
Confucius said: "Gongsun Chi went to Qi State with fat horses and light fur, and he was majestic. I have heard that a gentleman only provides help in times of need, not the icing on the cake. ”
Helping others in need does not help the rich, and helping young people in need does not help the poor. This is the attitude of a gentleman.
