Didi Autopilot opens commercial operation in Guangzhou

According to Didi Chuxing, in January this year, the XC9 model of Didi Autopilot, which is equipped with the Gemini autopilot platform, passed the safety technical inspection and audit and was selected into the Guangzhou Intelligent Networked Vehicle Catalogue. This batch of self-driving cars, the whole car can achieve multi-directional safety redundancy.

With the support of Huadu District Government, Didi Autopilot is deeply involved in the construction of Huadu Chelu collaborative roadside facilities, cloud control and intelligent transportation system platform. Based on the high-performance roadside sensing system constructed by sensing devices such as laser radar and camera deployed on the road, and V2X and 5G communication technologies with low delay and strong stability, Didi self-driving vehicles can interact and share information with the roadside, and "over-the-horizon" expands the vehicle sensing range and helps eliminate the blind area of autonomous driving.

Didi Chuxing said that it will further expand its business scope in the future, and based on Didi's * * * travel scene, it will explore and realize the mixed dispatch of self-driving vehicles and human drivers in Guangzhou, which can determine the dispatch mode according to road conditions, weather and routes. In addition, Didi autopilot will continue to work with Huadu to accelerate the opening of autopilot roads in the air-rail combined transport area.

It is understood that Didi Autopilot landed in Huadu in March, 221, and obtained the first to third-class road test licenses and remote test licenses in two years. With the first batch of commercial operation qualifications obtained in Guangzhou, it will accelerate the commercialization of autonomous driving technology achievements and further promote the development of intelligent networked automobile industry.
