This is the third time that I have written a travel guide to Xitang. Because the previous two guidebooks are very old, some places may have changed. Therefore, the purpose of posting this post is to help netizens who have recently traveled to Xitang to give back to those netizens who have helped me. I have been to Xitang three times in the past two years, and this time I went in October11August. Before I started to prepare to visit Xitang, I searched some posts on the Internet (most of them were posted on Ctrip, and a few were posted on Tianya), which helped me a lot, saved my time and enjoyed the beautiful scenery effectively. We have been to Xitang three times, hoping that our writing can be as detailed and accurate as possible, but after all, we are not locals living in Xitang, so it is difficult to cover everything. Please forgive us. When I am on a business trip in Shanghai, I often travel around with my partner in order to relax my nervous mood on weekends. I have been to Hangzhou (West Lake, Lingyin Temple and Longjing Village), Shanghai (Nanjing Road, Chenghuang Temple and Bund), Zhouzhuang, Xitang, Wuzhen, Tongli, Dongshan, Xishan, Wuxi and Shengze. The place that impressed me the most was Xitang, not only because of the beautiful scenery, but also because the food inside and outside the scenic spot was relatively cheap. It can be said that the cheapest meal I had on a business trip was eaten outside Xitang Scenic Area! The company's business trip is Fengjing, a small town near Zhejiang on the edge of Shanghai. Fengjing is a small town rich in yellow wine, and Fengjing old wine is a specialty here. Fengjing is not far from Shanghai and Xitang, so my story starts from Shanghai.

1. Stay in Xitang and be sure to stay for one night. The night view of Xitang is very beautiful, especially sitting on a boat and visiting Xitang at night. I try not to mention the name of the inn in the raiders. In case the audience thinks I'm a trustee. But I can tell you one thing here. The inn or hotel in Xitang is generally not expensive. I have a rough price list here. On non-statutory holidays, including weekends, hotels without water are almost 80- 120 yuan, hotels with water are almost 150-250 yuan, and regular hotels are almost 120- 180 yuan. The specific price depends on the room size and equipment. However, it is normal to double the price on weekends and holidays, especially on May 1 and 11 holidays. Therefore, friends who travel to Xitang on weekend holidays should pay attention.

2. It is most convenient to take a bus directly from Shanghai South Railway Station (from Liuzhou Road) or Shanghai Bus Terminal (Zhongxing Road 1666) to Xitang. Get out of the car. It is not recommended to take the bullet train or train, or you will have to change trains when you get off. One-way ticket from South Station or main station to Xitang, 32 yuan, 1 14km, the journey 1.5 to 2 hours. Pay attention to the following questions: ① The scenery on the way to Xitang is good, but after all, it is recommended to bring sunglasses, sun hats and mosquito repellent to the ancient town. Xitang is a water town with many mosquitoes. ② Get off at the bus stop and walk 10 minutes. Never call a tricycle. If you are really tired, you can, but don't believe a tricycle or passerby that a hotel is bad and expensive. He can take you to a cheap inn and so on. You know there is no such thing as a free lunch, and no one will help you lead the way when you are full. If you listen to him, 20% of your accommodation will fall into their pockets! Remember! (3) the local dialect is quite heavy, then asked a few people don't understand why. You don't understand what he told you, and neither does he! However, you can find some younger ones, or just ask at Xitang Station. ④ Pay attention to the time of the first and last bus, and be sure to leave early. Although the scenic spot is not very big, we arrived at 1 1 in the morning. After visiting the scenic spot, we had dinner and tea. We didn't visit some scenic spots until 6 pm.

3. Eating I have always been "tireless" about eating. In addition to Euryale ferox and glutinous rice balls found in small towns near Shanghai, there are also snacks such as fermented rice cakes, Fujian cakes and champion hooves. There is a snack square at the end of Anxiu Bridge in restaurants and specialty snack corridors, where famous Lushi wonton and Qian tofu flower are sold. But I think it's average, and there's nothing to eat. However, a friend is from Xiamen. They haven't eaten salted tofu (that is, shrimp, seaweed, fried dough sticks and sauerkraut in Shanghai), but only sweet ones. China is really big. So since you're here, let's eat. I prefer Xitang Shao Shao, because it is very distinctive, unlike Shanghai, which contains meat instead of glutinous rice. If you haven't eaten this kind of burning, friends can try it. There is also a snack bar in front of the ticket gate in Dong Tang Street, which sells something similar to fresh meat moon cakes at around 14:00 every afternoon. Locals buy a lot. If you can find this, you can try it. Go to the misty rain corridor, and you will definitely see the stinky tofu of the old lady Guan. Buy some. The tofu in Xitang is tender and has a strong bean flavor. I like eating tofu in Xitang very much. Of course, there are many old ladies, so it turns out to be similar. There is also steamed meat in Xitang. I wonder if it's a snack. In fact, lotus leaves are full of millet and meat, and I don't like them very much. Some people think it's not bad. Euryale Euryale ferox cakes are eaten everywhere in Xitang. The stalls in the forest are full of people. So I bought some things that Cao remembered at the booth next to their home. Later, when they got acquainted, we learned from the local population that good Euryale ferox cakes are not very sweet, which means that there are more Euryale ferox and less glutinous rice. I prefer to eat walnut Gordon Euryale cake, which is delicious. But Gordon Euryale cake won't last long, so let's buy it according to people. Personally, I recommend that you buy a packet of Euryale ferox (which must be new) and cook eight-treasure porridge at home. It's waxy, just like sago. Super delicious ~ ~ ~ Remember to bargain. Almost 20 yuan a pack. 28 yuan/Jin is probably available in supermarkets in Shanghai. Xitang is full of the best places in the world. In fact, it is all the last stream. Slightly delicious noodles are all outside the ancient town. A Suzhou mutton noodle is not bad. But is pasta a feature of Xitang? I don't think so. When a person can't think of anything to eat, he can go to eat a bowl and pass by. I think other snacks are similar to those in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, so there is nothing to recommend. Besides snacks, there are several good restaurants in Xitang. If a friend happens to have eaten in these restaurants like me, it is fate. As for the name, it will be mentioned below. Here, I only talk about some restaurants that I have eaten and are still open.

Laopinfang Laopinfang is known to almost everyone who goes to Xitang. From Dong Tang Street, cross Anxiu Bridge on the right. In fact, the environment there is really bad, the place is so small, and even the weekends are equal, at least 30 minutes, mainly because the boss has a bad attitude, maybe he feels too busy. But its advantages are obvious. Cheap price-you can go out to eat when there are few people; Authentic taste-all vegetables and meat are provided by local people, and they are all made by local people, which represents the local characteristics of home cooking. Therefore, if there are less than four people, it is really worth a try in the old goods store. The average person only needs 20-30 yuan. You can eat all the specialties of Xitang for less money. If there are many people, I advise you not to go. If you go, you can rent a venue.

Songzi Deyue Building is located in Dong Tang Street, which is the bar street in tourists' mouth. It goes down to a restaurant on the second floor, just at the east end of Anjing Bridge. After all, because there is no storefront, it is not easy to find. I don't know the popularity of this store among tourists from other regions, but it has a good reputation among Shanghai tourists. I also heard it from my colleagues. There is no storefront, but it is clean and tidy, and the hygiene work is very good. I compared the prices. A little more expensive than the old boutique room, a little cheaper than other hotels, but not a little more than the old boutique room. I was quite enthusiastic and quickly called me to sit down and order. The old woman also warmly brought me hot tea. Let's talk about food. I just ordered some recommended by several stores. Sauce-flavored screw, 5 yuan, this should be the best screw I have ever eaten in Xitang. Steamed white water fish, one in 28 yuan, is available in every restaurant in Xitang, but I have to say that the white water fish in this store is really tender, rare and delicious. A dragon's hoof is the best in his family. If it smells good, it means living. Most people can order at least half a hoof. The boss is so thoughtful. Half a slice, fat but not greasy, not oily at all, very tasty, I like it very much. If you haven't eaten other dishes, I hope friends who have eaten will share them and see what else is delicious. In short, it is an ancient town hotel that is highly recommended to everyone.

There are two Qiantang people. The one near the beginning of Yanyulou Road is smaller and more crowded. The one near Anxiuqiao is a little bigger and has relatively few people. In Xitang, the environment is OK (relatively speaking), and the price is high in Xitang. I have eaten at their home twice. Once, it was a table, 300 yuan. The food was super fast, and the plates were folded twice at once. I don't want to eat when I feel better. The second time is to order food. Because I went late, it was almost 7 pm, so the waiter kept urging me to order, saying that I would not take orders after 7 pm, and I felt super bad, so I ordered a few dishes casually. Steamed eggs with chicken/wonton/fish are the most popular, but nothing else. Therefore, if there are few people, this shop will just order an environment, order some dishes at the riverside seat on the second floor and have a look at the river view for dinner. Suitable for friends who think that food is not the key and price is not the key.

Tickets If you come by bus, get out of the bus station and go north along Pingchuan Road. 10 minutes will take you to Tangjialong. When you enter Tangjialong, you have already arrived at Xitang Scenic Area. Never ask anyone where the main entrance of Xitang is. You must buy a ticket to the main entrance. The main entrance of Xitang is next to the first parking lot. If you come by car or have to take the main entrance, then I'm sorry, you have to buy a ticket of 50- 100 yuan. Pay attention to the following questions: ① If you need 50 yuan tickets to enter the scenic spot every day, you don't need to buy tickets after 100 yuan and 17 (don't waste money on tricycles or scalpers); ② If it is really necessary to enter the scenic spot between 8:00- 17:00, users who don't want to buy tickets should get off and look for local scalpers. (Of course, 50 yuan or 100 yuan coupon is also encouraged. After all, it is not easy to come to Xitang once. Spend money to buy peace of mind and see famous scenic spots in Jiangnan. )

A tourist guide is like the British Pavilion at the World Expo. What it wants to express is just a cursory look, and you won't understand what it wants to express. Only after listening to the tour guide's explanation will you know why the British Pavilion is a zero-carbon pavilion. Many cultural attractions can be seen without a guide.

① "Zeng Tuan": After buying the ticket, you can follow the "tour group", listen to what the tour guide says, and learn more or less what these still things want to show us ~ If you have enough time, you can take more tours!

Don't ignore the relatively inconspicuous landscape, after all, it's not easy to walk all the way! Go straight ahead from Dong Tang Street, pass the ticket gate on the right, and you will arrive at Tang Sheng. There is a mud village nearby. In the past, it will be the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and you can also see several distinctive bars along the way, all the way to the Lion Bridge. (It is said that Xiaotang ran around there). Lion Bridge is Wolong Bridge and Wine Culture Museum. The back door of the winery is also there. Then walk along Beizha Street to the promenade across the river. Since I am in Xitang, I feel different in the morning and at night. You can go to Songzi Laifeng Bridge by boat. West Street is also in that area. You can also visit Shipi Lane and Root Carving Museum. Remember to take the ticket with you at this time, and don't lose it. Because sometimes when you walk, you will walk out of the ancient town from an alley. If you want to walk back again, you may be out of luck. You can't get in without a ticket. I have seen this problem many times, which leads to quarrels between tourists and ticket collectors.

Xitang scenic spot is the best one I have ever been to. There are also shops selling things in the scenic spot, but unlike Wuzhen, Zhouzhuang and Nanxun, it is not a town at all. It is a specialty shop, one next to another! Of course, Xitang Scenic Area has not maintained its original appearance. Many places have been renovated, which is obviously relatively new, but it looks more comfortable and has the feeling of a small town in the south of the Yangtze River!

6. Young people always go to busy places. The bars in Xitang are more lively than those in Shanghai, which really deserves its reputation, especially on weekends. Let's talk about the consumption of Xitang bar first. The consumption of Xitang Bar will not be increased because of the price of the scenic spot. On the contrary, it may be lower than that in Shanghai and Hangzhou, which is why Xitang Bar is loved by travelers. Beer 20-30, dried fruit and other small fruit bowls 10-20, red wine 200 for different brands. There are many Xitang bars on both sides of Dong Tang Street. Almost all of them are full of guests and friends, and their names are very emotional. There are many tourists' messages hanging inside and outside the bar, and colorful post-it notes are posted on the wall, which are full and textured. If you like, of course, you can also bring your lover here to leave a declaration of love on Valentine's Day. The bar in Xitang is different from other places. There are too many helpless men and women in bars in big cities, who get drunk every night and feel sad secretly. Here, there is not too much noise and glitz, so you don't have to worry about whether ecstasy will be added to the wine, and you don't have to be nervous about whether someone will play your mind with malicious intent. Here, it is more like a gathering of young friends, drinking beer and singing songs, freeing themselves from the hustle and bustle of life and leaving a relaxed and comfortable place. Every time the lights are on, the streets of Xitang Bar become lively. It's still early at night, and a tipsy person, stepping on the reflection of a thousand-year-old bluestone path and lanterns in the river, crosses a long rainy lane and sinks into the dream of a water town. The night is still early, who is drunk, in Xitang, an ancient town.
