Tongzhou Lightning Football Club was established in May, 1996. Formerly known as the football team of Tongzhou Power Supply Bureau. At that time, it was established to participate in the Nantong "Electric Cup" football invitational tournament. Although the first competition ended in failure, the two brothers spontaneously kept the team, which was called Tongzhou Technician Football Team and Tongzhou Suyuan Football Team in history, and was officially renamed Tongzhou Lightning Football Club on April 19, 2003.

In the past ten years, the team has participated in the Nantong "Electric Cup" football invitational tournament. Nantong Five-a-side Football Grand Prix; Nantong previous club cup football matches; Hosting and participating in Tongzhou "five-a-side" football match; Tongzhou football league. He also participated in the exchange competition on behalf of football fans from Tongzhou Foreign Trade Company, Development Zone, South Korea and Japan, and participated in the "Tonggong-Zhonglian" Cup football competition on behalf of Tongzhou Power Supply Bureau, which achieved good social effects.

In addition, the club often communicates with teams in surrounding areas. Through the competition, we make friends, deepen friendship, improve our skills and broaden our horizons. By June 2006, the club * * * had participated in more than 65,438+040 official games, covering Nanjing, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Yancheng, Jiangyin, Shanghai and Nantong, and spent many football games in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

In September this year, the club will also represent Nantong City in the football match of the staff and workers' department of the 16th Jiangsu Provincial Games.

The club advocates the tenet of "Happy Football, Healthy Life". At present, there are 36 senior members, ordinary members 15 and honorary members 10. The members of the club are mainly young people from some institutions, schools and enterprises in Tongzhou.
