As of June 2023, Lanxi City has jurisdiction over 6 streets, 7 towns, and 3 townships, namely Lanjiang Street, Yunshan Street, Shanghua Street, Yongchang Street, Chixi Street, Nv. Bu Street; Youbu Town, Zhuge Town, Huangdian Town, Xiangxi Town, Majian Town, Meijiang Town, Hengxi Town; Lingdong Township, Shuiting She Township, and Baishe Township.

Lanxi City, affiliated to Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the central and western part of Zhejiang Province, in the middle reaches of the Qiantang River and the northern edge of the Jinqu Basin. The city borders Jinhua City's Jindong District and Wucheng District in the southeast, Longyou County in the southwest, Jiande City in the northwest, and Pujiang County and Yiwu City in the northeast.
