In 200 1 year, Fuling Teachers College (formerly Fuling County Rural Teachers College was founded in 193 1) merged with Fuling Education College and was upgraded to Fuling Teachers College. In September 2006, Fuling Teachers College was renamed Changjiang Teachers College.
