"The Biography of Su Dongpo"

Su Dongpo spent his whole life caring about people's lives, worrying about canals and digging wells. He was full of energy. No matter where he served, he could give warmth to the people, let them see hope, never give in when encountering difficulties, and solve them. question.

In my opinion, this is a kind of courage. What you do depends on man and God will do it. However, as long as you have the spirit of neither being humble nor arrogant, and dare to face all challenges, you will see the powerful power of man to defeat nature.

Even if he is arguing with evil spirits, he is not afraid:

1. The servant is evil

Once, Su Dongpo was on his way back to Kyoto from Fengxiang , walking along the mountain road and passing Baihua Mountain. One of the attendants suddenly took off his clothes one by one on the road until he was naked. Su Dongpo ordered people to put it on him reluctantly, and then tied him up, but the clothes fell off again. At this time, some people said that the mountain god must have been angry, and the soldier was possessed by evil spirits. Su Dongpo walked to the temple and said to the mountain god:

I went without prayers in the past, and I will not pray again now. It's just that I came out of the temple and didn't dare not to pay homage. One of the soldiers accompanying him got mad and encountered evil spirits. And Ju Ren said: "The wrath of God", it is unknown whether it is true. This little man has the ears of an ant and a louse, how can he disturb the power of God? Even if this person has hidden evil, it is unknown. Otherwise, if someone commits minor crimes such as slacking off and being rude or stealing royal drinks, there is no blame for them and they should be ignored. It is said that the army and the town are very important and have a very wide area. Among them, the powerful and wealthy people have treacherous intentions. The gods dare not show their power to them, but instead inflict anger on one soldier. Isn't it wrong? Is it okay for a certain petty official to forgive him if one person is ill and the other is lacking? If you are not a fool, God will not hear this.

As soon as Su Dongpo left the mountain temple after praying, a gust of mountain wind rushed towards his face. In a blink of an eye, the wind became more and more violent, flying sand and rocks, and pedestrians could not open their eyes. Su Dongpo said to the attendant: "Is God still angry? I am not afraid of him." He continued to walk forward, and the wind became more and more fierce. At this time, there was only one attendant following behind with his luggage. The others and the horses were trying to take shelter from the wind because they felt that they could not move forward. Someone told him to go back to the temple and ask the mountain god for mercy.

Su Dongpo replied: "My life is controlled by the Emperor of Heaven. The mountain god will definitely get angry, so I have to let him. I will continue to move forward. What can the mountain god do to me?" Then, the wind gradually decreased and finally blew. In the end, no accident occurred and the soldier came to his senses.

2. I’m not afraid of ghosts

Another time, he struggled with an evil spirit. A few years later, when he was a high-ranking official in the capital, his second daughter-in-law (who was Ouyang Xiu's granddaughter) was also possessed by an evil spirit one night after giving birth.

The young daughter-in-law said to the people around her in the voice of an old lady: "My name is Qing, and my surname is Wang. Because of the lingering ghost, I have been a ghost in this area for many years."

Su Dongpo said to his daughter-in-law: "I'm not afraid of ghosts. Besides, there are many Taoist priests in Kyoto who can exorcise ghosts and demons. They will also drive you away. Don't be ignorant. It was obviously your confusion and stupidity that cost you your life. Now that you are dead, , You still want to cause trouble!"

Then he told the female ghost some Buddhist principles about ghosts, and told her: "Go away honestly, and I will tell the Buddha to take your place tomorrow evening. Pray."

The female ghost put her hands together and said, "Thank you, sir." The daughter-in-law suddenly recovered.

After sunset the next day, he wrote a prayer to the Buddha, burned incense, offered wine and meat, and sent the female ghost away.

3. Uncompromising

The younger son of his second son said he saw a thief running in the house. He looked dark and thin and was wearing black clothes. Su Dongpo ordered his servants to search, but found nothing. Then the wet nurse suddenly fell to the floor again, screaming.

Su Dongpo went to see her, and she shouted to Dongpo: "I am the dark and thin one wearing black clothes! I am not a thief, I am the ghost of this family. If you want me to leave the wet nurse You have to invite a fairy to come."

Su Dongpo said firmly to the ghost: "No, I won't invite you." The ghost's voice softened and said, "If you don't want to invite me. , I don’t insist either. Can you please write me a prayer and pray for me? "Have confidence in yourself to fight against the invisible spirits.

Dongpo said: "No."

The conditions of the ghost became lower and lower, and he asked in a gentler voice if he could eat some meat and drink some wine, but Su Dongpo became more and more strong. The ghost was frightened by this man who was not afraid of ghosts. He only asked to burn some paper money for him and was satisfied.

Dongpo still refused.

In the end, the ghost only asked for a bowl of water. Dongpo ordered: "Give it to him." After drinking the water, the wet nurse fell to the ground and soon regained consciousness, but she was weaned from the milk.

It can be seen from this that ghosts can actually distinguish right from wrong and bully the weak. Although there are mythological elements in it, the principle is the same.

Su Dongpo hated everything that was reasonable, and he argued with evil spirits. Because he firmly believed that no matter whether it was gods or demons, as long as they spoke strictly, demons and demons could not do whatever they wanted. No matter what, under Su Dongpo's eloquence, the demons had to admit their stupid behavior and give up their unfair methods.

In life, you must have correct values, be positive, be kind, and dare to do something to create and maintain a harmonious society, so that you can live up to the hard-won life today.

Your cowardice and your disregard will increase the confidence of the evil forces. The most important thing is that when you leave this world, can you safely leave your children in a society with hidden dangers?

Don’t do good deeds because they are small, and don’t do evil deeds because they are small. Cowardice is contagious, courage is contagious, and so is respect. Courage has a strong side and a soft side. First of all, you have to light your torch to show your courage and respect. The torch may only illuminate a few meters, but please believe that a single spark can start a prairie fire. As long as another person sees it, there will be a little more fire. Slowly The more people gather, the brighter the fire, and the warmer everyone becomes. At the same time, the gathered power makes you braver.

Su Dongpo’s righteous words can drive away demons, and at the same time, he also has a cute side. I think it’s because his life is more down-to-earth. He can write poems and songs, cook and collect herbs, and likes to joke with people, which also adds a lot of fun to life.

Su Dongpo resigned from his official post due to the "Wutai Poetry Case" and was demoted to Huangzhou. After arriving in Huangzhou, Su Shi encountered many problems.

Problems will not stump a person who faces life bravely. In Huangzhou, a place he is unfamiliar with, he has created a circle of friends with a very kind, relaxed and sincere atmosphere.

Interesting fact 1: Why is it crispy?

Once, he ate a kind of crispy cake at the house of a villager named Liu. The cake felt crispy and crispy.

He asked someone: "What is the name of this cake?"

The person said: "I don't know, I didn't name it."

Su Shi said: "Then Let’s call it “Why Su”! ”

Fun fact 2: Misplaced water

There is also a villager named Pan who makes a kind of wine at home and feels very sour after drinking it.

He said: "Where is your wine? Did you put the wrong water in when you made vinegar? Then let's call your wine "wrong water"!"

Later, Su Dongpo's family went on a trip and did not bring anything to eat or drink, so he wrote a note and sent it to the two families, saying that they needed the Pan family to put water in the wrong place, and they also needed the Liu family to make cakes.

This is Su Dongpo's attitude towards making friends, a very casual and carefree attitude.

This is only after staying away from those political circles and the intrigues and political struggles of the court that it is possible to obtain such a free attitude.

Fun fact 3: Su Dongpo gave people random nicknames

Su Dongpo had a friend named Chen Zhen. He was a very kind and generous person, but his wife was too powerful, jealous and had a special temper. bad.

Su Dongpo expressed deep sympathy for Chen Zhen and wrote a poem for him:

"The layman Longqiu is also pitiful.

He spends sleepless nights talking in vain.

Suddenly I heard the roar of a lion in the east of the river.

I dropped my stick and felt confused. "

Vernacular text: "My friend is so pitiful. He forgets to sleep when he talks about Buddhism. My wife roared, and her heart trembled when she dropped her cane."

In this way, Chen Zhen's wife became famous and has been passed down to this day.

It seems that giving others nicknames requires talent and knowledge!

This reminds me of how people are given nicknames in life:

Those with small eyes are called "little eyes"; those with big mouths are called " "Big mouth"; those with big faces: called "big cakes"; those with pockmarks: called "Wang Er Pockmarked"

Wait...

These are not nicknames, they are taking advantage of other people's imperfections to make you poor and happy. Some even insult each other, use others' unhappiness to make themselves happy, or please others. This kind of behavior can only make themselves grandiose.

Nicknames can be both positive and negative, so don’t just give people a nickname that is mocking or insulting. Because when you give others nicknames, there are also people who are choosing worse labels to give you.

Su Dongpo gave a very clever example to illustrate how much he likes to show off his talents: The Cancer of a Tree

Su Dongpo’s reflection on himself is very profound. During his stay in Huangzhou, he overcame life difficulties, overcame mental confusion, and lived his own free and unrestrained life, which may be a kind of high-level freedom and ease.

In my interactions with farmers and villagers, I gradually lost my acrimonious and petty attitude and developed a tolerant and open-minded atmosphere.

In the process of Su Dongpo's farming work, he got rid of the weak and lingering literati spirit and developed a resolute and strong manly spirit.

Life is like this. You need to endure some hardships, go through some experiences, constantly polish yourself, and forge yourself before you can become more perfect. Only then can we see things in the world more thoroughly and understandably. Only then can we see ourselves more clearly, learn from each other's strengths, and be more tolerant, more understanding, and more grateful.

In his letter to his friend, he said, I am no longer the same person now. Although I am old and poor, I am filled with loyalty and morality in my heart. I am not afraid of death, as long as I The king and the country are ready to sacrifice their lives at any time.

Su Dongpo made a completely new introspection on his own personality and inner world, and actively treated every step of his life.

In today's society, everyone feels that they are under great pressure. In the vast sea of ????people, in the colorful world, with full ideals and ignorance, they stagger into the society and come into contact with the world. I met all kinds of people, experienced sudden events firsthand, and found that the reality is not just skinny, but only the skeleton.

Some people often treat life and the people around them with a negative attitude, which makes them even more anxious! Let yourself be easily excited and vent your emotions without any scruples, etc.

1. To the child: Why are you so stupid? You can’t even learn well. (Use your unhappiness to dampen your child's enthusiasm)

2. Indifferent to family members. I feel that I make money all for my family. I often say: If it weren't for this family, I would Can you be so unlucky? Who am I working so hard for? No matter what, I still have to be angry with the leader!

(I would like to ask: Aren’t you a member of this family? Shouldn’t you be sincere in paying for this family? Because your family is your safe haven and where your happiness lies. If your home is your burden, please Before you start a family, think about everything, otherwise it will not be you who will be delayed, but the person who shares the joys and sorrows with you and never complains. Please don't harm their lives, or even implicate the innocent next generation! )

Life requires you to face it bravely, then accept it, and use your power to change it. Maybe what you see and feel will no longer be so lonely and self-pitying.

Su Shi who dressed up as a farmer and worked in the fields was admirable; Su Shi who concentrated on studying and did not forget his duties as a scholar was respectable; and Su Shi who was cool and humorous and treated others with an innocent heart, So cute again.

Su Dongpo’s knowledge of the hall and the kitchen was unparalleled. At the same time, he also had a cute and naughty side. He was humorous, told fables and made up stories, and satirized social trends. At the same time, he was having fun with his colleagues.

Su Dongpo was demoted many times in his life and experienced many things. However, he was able to enjoy himself and even more so. Su Shi's outlook on life and values ??are both elegant and vulgar, and his temperament is optimistic and contented. Although he has been wandering around, he faces life with a chic smile.
