[My 100 Growth Insights]@kiki-064 May 3, 2015
I watched "How the Most Painful Moments in Life Make Us" and "How the Most Painful Moments in Life Make Us" at TED yesterday Why Thinking You’re Ugly Can Be Bad for You” and watched a documentary called “Landscape of Time”.
How do life’s most painful moments shape us? The sentence that impressed me the most is: forge meaning, build identity, forge meaning, built identity. In life, each of us will experience various painful moments, and it is only by forging meaning from them that we will find our identity. It is precisely because of various experiences in the past that we grow and mature. Gaining happiness in suffering is a kind of joy of growth. What happens does not make us suffer. What really makes us suffer is our thoughts. If we can find sublimated meaning from the things we suffer, then the suffering will become valuable and we will not suffer in vain. Give meaning to all painful moments and make your life different. Everything is the best arrangement, why are you unhappy? Find positive meaning and make yourself happier, even in miserable moments.
Why does thinking you are ugly hurt you? The speaker focused more on youth issues, but it also has lessons for us. If you think you are ugly, it will make you less confident in socializing, working, making friends, dating, etc., and may even damage your quality of life. There is such a unique you in the world. Even if you are ugly, you must be confident. Confident people are the most beautiful. Confidence can show the best side of yourself. Thinking that you are ugly is not good for you! Haha, I’m not ugly, but I’m not obviously beautiful. I can also be beautiful. Love yourself well and be the most beautiful woman who is confident.
I watched The Landscape of Time at DOCO Cinema, which lasted about 40 minutes. I was stunned, relaxed and happy, ah! Nature is so beautiful! This is a documentary about landscape, with no written language, only appropriate background music. I saw a lot of scenery that I didn’t know about, and every screenshot was a beautiful landscape painting. The documentary allows us to see lakes, migratory birds, stone forests, small towns, night, starry sky, waterfalls, rivers, forests, bamboos, scattered light, traditional folk dances, satellite receiver rotation, young men and women dancing in bars, all from the same angle The day and night in every place are so beautiful. Really, the world is so big and I want to see it. In addition to taking pictures of scenery, Landscape of Time also pays attention to the changes in scenery over time. This kind of shooting angle feels like God's perspective, which broadens my horizons a lot. Such a beautiful scenery, how wonderful it would be to see it with your own eyes. As soon as I closed my eyes, I felt like I was in the scenery of time, traveling in my mind. I felt surprisingly calm and felt a sense of joy. This is the purification given by the harmony and beauty of nature. I really want to see such beautiful scenery and see the sky full of stars.
If life is a journey, what do I want to feel? What kind of scenery did you see? What do I hope to experience? What to experience? When you come, you can’t bring anything with you, and when you leave, you can’t take anything with you. How can you live a life that is valuable? After watching the above videos, it seems to have given me new revelations, and I still need to continue to search for the meaning of life.
