2. Lanxi City is located in the middle and west of Zhejiang Province, the middle reaches of Qiantang River and the northern edge of Jinqu Basin. Since ancient times, it has been called "the confluence of three rivers", "the waist of six waters" and "the thoroughfare of seven provinces"

By 20 18, Lanxi has jurisdiction over 6 streets, 7 towns and 3 townships (including 1 ethnic townships): Yunshan Street, Lanjiang Street, Shang Hua Street, Yongchang Street, Chixi Street and Nvbu Street; Youbu Town, Zhuge Town, Ma Jian Town, Xiangxi Town, huang dian zhen Town, Meijiang Town, Hengxi Town, Baishe Township, Lingdong Township and Shuiting Shezu Township.

4. It borders Jinhua Jindong District and Wucheng District in the southeast, Longyou County in the southwest, jiande city in the northwest and Pujiang County and Yiwu in the northeast. The water system of Lanxi City belongs to Qiantang River system, which is mainly composed of three rivers (Qujiang, Jinhua and Lanjiang) and five streams (Meixi, Ganxi, Chixi, Youbuxi and Madaxi). The trees and flowers in the city are camphor tree and orchid respectively.
