The origin of the constellation

1. India

The Indian Nakshatra (Nakshatra, meaning "moon station") is very similar to the Chinese Nakshatra. Scholars believe that both originated from the same source.

Bio, Madler, Schlegel, Zhu Kezhen, Xia Nai, Xincheng Xinzang and others advocated that the Twenty-Eight Constellations originated in China; Weber, John Chen, Kinzel, King Smill and Edkin advocated the Indian origin theory.

In India, the Weaver Girl replaces the Ox in the Chinese Twenty-Eight Constellations, and the Hegu (Cowherd) replaces the Female Constellation in the Chinese Twenty-Eight Constellations. The starting star of both is Spica (?, Chitrā), but later the starting star of the Indian twenty-eight stars was changed to Pleiades (Krittikā).

According to ancient Indian classics, the room and the wall were once combined into one to form twenty-seven places, or the Weaver Girl was subtracted to form twenty-seven places. This is consistent with China. . The full name of the twenty-seven constellations first appeared in the "Partridge Family Sanskrit Book".

2. Arab World

After the 9th century AD, Ptolemaic constellations spread to the Arab world. Ptolemy's work Almagest was translated into Arabic as the Almagest. Based on this book, Alsufi wrote the "Book of Stars" (?), which is known as one of the three masterpieces of Islamic observational astronomy. Most of the star names commonly used around the world are derived from Arabic.
