Among surviving infected persons and patients, 97.7% are sexually transmitted (70.6% are transmitted through male homosexuality and 27.1% are transmitted through heterosexual transmission).

From January to October 2022, based on current residential address, there were 2,291 newly reported cases of HIV infection and patients in the province. Among the newly reported cases, sexual transmission accounted for 99.0% (homosexual transmission accounted for 71.9% and heterosexual transmission accounted for 27.1%).
