In making friends, Confucius thought that "all men are brothers within the four seas", which reflected his magnanimous mind as a gentleman. However, this does not mean that he advocates blind friendship. In The Analects of Confucius Wei Linggong, Confucius put forward the principle of "all roads lead to the same goal". "Tao" here refers to a certain outlook on life, world outlook, political views and orientations and even ideological system.
