Feel good books and read classics-on Yu Dan's Understanding of the Analects of Confucius
Tea is delicious and needs to be tasted with heart; The flowers are overflowing and need to be appreciated with heart; The book is intoxicating, and you need to read it with your heart. -Inscription
Nothing is more powerful than books in this world. A good book can change a person's life, make a person move from failure to success, from sadness to happiness, from frustration to hard work. The Analects of Confucius is a brilliant pearl in human cultural heritage. In the past 25 years, the Analects of Confucius is probably the most read and familiar book in the world. Today, more than 2, years later, Professor Yu Dan's The Analects of Confucius is presented to the world with a luxurious and simple appearance. And this book has become my favorite treasure.
The ancients once said that "half of the Analects of Confucius ruled the world", but today, with diversity, most of us' perception of the Analects is probably just a philosophy of life. Indeed, from the Analects, we can find the highest state of a person's survival in the world, while Yu Dan's perception and taste of the Analects, with the saying that "half of the Analects of Confucius is self-cultivation", will combine the way of heaven and earth, the way of mind and the way of dealing with life.
In The Analects of Confucius, I learned how to live in the world, how to be a modest gentleman, and how to be a useful person who knows shame. What we have received since childhood is the Confucian ethical education of "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, self-reliance and faithfulness". From Kong Rong's respect and observance of pears at the age of three to Fan Zhongyan's anxiety consciousness of "worrying about the world first, and enjoying the world later", all of them show the inextricable infiltration of Confucianism in the process of national growth. For thousands of years, the world is still willing to respect Confucius, taking his words as the motto and the criterion of self-cultivation. It can be seen that Confucius' eternal charm is great.
The Analects of Confucius by Professor Yu Dan is the condensation of morality and wisdom. She is a persuasive mentor and an honest, frank and tolerant friend. She is a mirror that reflects our moral sentiments and character cultivation, so that we can find our own direction in life. China's traditional moral ideal is "cultivate one's morality, keep one's family in order, govern the country and level the world", and the foundation of everything is to cultivate one's morality first. Self-cultivation can be understood as improving external ability, being flexible and keeping pace with the times. And the inner mind is perfect and rich. Only when one's inner cultivation is improved and one's ability is improved can one better deal with others. Learning from Professor Yu Dan's "The Analects of Confucius", what I feel most is that it can inspire our minds, touch our hearts, teach us a lot of ways to behave, and the rules and principles of being a man make people inadvertently increase the weight of wisdom, realize that Confucius is around us, give us the source of strength, get the happiness of life, and truly taste the plain and subtle artistic conception.
In Professor Yu Dan's Understanding of the Analects of Confucius, there is no chapter-seeking, no quotation, no dogma-to-dogma, no book-to-book move, everything is explained, Confucius is restored from a high position as a saint to a down-to-earth teacher, and the sage classics are transformed into meaningful words, without pretending to be profound and showing off, just like Confucius in The Analects of Confucius faces the children in front of the table and follows them. Therefore, the saints are no longer far away, the classics are no longer dusty, and the reality is less confused.
Yu Dan said, "It is a realm of reading to brew the sunshine into coffee, then drink it and let yourself scatter in the light." Perhaps, it is precisely because of this elegant realm that she has such a feeling about the Analects of Confucius and wrote such a good book that has influenced countless people. Like spring rain, it moistens people's hearts and is silent. Yi Zhongtian once said: Learning is to make a living, while reading is to seek a heart. It seems that in life, you don't need to study for a living, but you need to study for a heart. Read more books and read good books. If you study very little, it will be a lifelong regret!
