Luquan was one of the top 100 in China from 0 1 to 2005.
Later, for the sake of Shijiazhuang's environment, a large number of cement plants were dismounted, so they withdrew from the top 100 in China in 2006.

There are still 670 million tons of limestone deposits in Luquan City, and the development of cement industry has a unique resource advantage. By the end of 1997, there were 60 cement enterprises/kloc-0, with an annual output value of 1 1 100 million yuan. Driven by the cement industry, the city's fiscal revenue has increased year by year, ranking among the "Top 100 in China" for five consecutive years.
