The income level is relatively high, but the price is low. It is a city suitable for office workers. In terms of urban planning and greening, the whole city has spacious space, reasonable layout, orderly residential areas, leisure areas and commercial areas, and a first-class business environment. There is no phenomenon of eating and getting cards, which is particularly strong than Hohhot. The local food style in Baotou is biased towards Shanxi-Shaanxi style. Special catering mainly includes hot pot, roasted meat, hemp leaves, mutton offal, pot-stewed vegetables, oat noodles and so on. Baotou Xue Lu Beer and Baotou Knight Yogurt are well-known local brands. In addition, Little Sheep hot pot bottom material, Tiexi ribs, Sichuan style pork and small tail sheep hot pot are also local time-honored brands.
