First, the mode of travel
A bus or tram.
Take buses or trams in various cities in Italy. Tickets are not sold on the bus. You must buy tickets at newsstands and bars first. After you get on the bus, you can print your ticket on the automatic ticket checking machine, automatically record the boarding time, and you can transfer to other vehicles with this ticket within the valid time. The electric and bus tickets for Rome and Milan can be used for 1.5 hours each, and the transfer is valid during this time. Some city electricity and bus tickets are valid for one ride. People who travel more in the city can also buy monthly tickets for cars, trams or subways. They should get on the bus from the back door and show the driver their monthly ticket. When the bus arrives at the station, you should get off at the middle gate.
subway
In Rome and Milan, there are buses and trams for every subway ticket. When traveling by subway, you should also go to the ticket office or newsstand to buy tickets. If you sit often, you can buy more tickets and avoid buying them now. After purchasing tickets, you can go to the automatic ticket gate, insert the ticket into the ticket checking machine, and then push the railing into the platform to wait. In addition to the subway, Rome also has an elevated train from the airport to the city center. There is an elevated train every 30 minutes from 6: 00 am to 12: 30 midnight.
taxi
Italian taxis are yellow with taxis on the roof. When you need a ride, you can call a car or wave at the roadside. When you get on the bus, tell the driver where you want to go. When you arrive at your destination, you will pay according to the number displayed by the meter. Generally, you will pay an integer according to the amount of money in the meter, and you don't need change. The ticket price is higher from 10 to 6 am the next day, and the ticket price doubles during the festival. When going to the outer suburbs, you should pay the air return fee appropriately.
Although choosing a taxi is the most convenient way to travel in Italy, in view of the green travel advocated internationally and the planning of students' wallets, I suggest that Italian students can consciously choose subway, bus or tram to travel.
Secondly, travel is very important.
1. Avoid activities in unsafe areas.
Mencius said, "a gentleman does not stand under a dangerous wall." The best way to protect yourself is to try to avoid activities in unsafe areas. No matter where you go in the world, it is the same. Therefore, before we go to study in a strange country, we must do our homework in advance, understand the local customs, and know what unstable factors and dangerous areas are. If you have friends who have lived in the local area, you should consult in time and reserve contact information in case of emergency.
Before you come to school, you must know about the safe area and the unsafe area, and try to avoid these unsafe places when choosing a house. Try to choose a place with good reputation and safety to live in.
Step 2 beware of fraud
Fraud involving international students mainly uses social media to defraud family members and friends of international students, including stealing social media accounts to borrow money from friends and using time difference to ask family members of international students for money. As such incidents often happen, you should inform your relatives and friends before you leave home. If you encounter a similar situation, you must contact me directly before making a decision.
3. Be a low-key person and not show off your wealth.
Some overseas students in China spend a lot of money and show off their wealth. They always keep their money secret and try to avoid revealing their family's financial situation to others to protect their privacy and avoid attracting others' jealousy. Most foreign countries can spend money by credit card, which is very convenient, so it is not recommended to carry too much cash with you.
4. Avoid going out alone or at night.
It is best to go out together, try to avoid leaving quiet places with few people, and don't go out for activities in the middle of the night. Please don't take the sense of security of China street snack abroad. What is more terrible than petty theft is the drunken man wandering in the middle of the night.
5. Be careful when making friends
When you are away from home, especially in different cultural environments, it is inevitable that you will have more needs for your friends, and sometimes it is easy to believe when you meet a "friend with a willing heart". What I want to remind you here is that you must be cautious in making friends, try not to reveal too much personal information in the initial stage of communication, have a sense of self-protection, don't "talk shallow", and don't participate in pornography, gambling, drugs or any other illegal acts. Pay more attention to strangers' "help" or "help". After all, in recent years, there have been countless cases of helping strangers bring things into and out of the country and being found to be prohibited items.
6. Take the subway/bus
In big cities, taking the subway or bus is a more convenient mode of transportation than driving by yourself. Try not to take the subway too early or too late. If necessary, consider taking a taxi and write down the car number. Don't wait too close to the edge of the subway, and don't take an empty bus. The car in the middle is safer, and the seats next to the entrance and exit of the car are more vulnerable to gangsters. Please wait for the bus in a well-lit place. If there are few passengers on the bus, it is advisable to sit near the driver. Take care of your belongings and don't give thieves an opportunity.
