Should students make friends online?

Some people say yes. Internet helps students make many friends. Through online chatting, students can express their feelings and opinions more freely, and even get help in foreign language learning.

However, others think that students should not make online friends. They think that making friends online is a waste of time and should be spent on more meaningful study. Otherwise, their normal study will be greatly affected. In addition, some students may even be cheated online.

In my opinion, making friends online is harmful. Students should first consider their study, health and safety. As for friendship, we can easily find it in our classmates and people around us.
