In ideology and morality, social morality is the most basic, and it is also the closest to the reality of our lives. It embodies a person's quality cultivation in the first time, and it is also ubiquitous in our daily life. In view of the social morality of today's college students, we made a social survey.
Overall situation:
The survey shows that college students have a strong sense of social morality on the whole. Wu Dongsheng, Dean of School of Marxist Education of Nankai University, said: "Today's college students are worthy of recognition. Compared with the 80 s and 90 s, social progress has been fully reflected in college students. " Our survey results show that 49.2% people's overall evaluation of contemporary college students is "advanced in thought, knowledgeable and literate, but poor in using knowledge". Only 17.79% people think that contemporary college students "have good ideological quality, high professional level, strong ability to report social practice and a sense of social responsibility." This shows that college students generally perform well in the understanding of public morality. We have a clear understanding of the basic public moral behaviors and categories, but the specific performance needs to be improved, and this phenomenon of "disconnection between knowledge and practice" is becoming more and more obvious with the growth of age.
Find pleasure in helping others.
In social life, everyone will encounter difficulties and problems, and there will always be times when others need help and care. Therefore, the spirit of helping others advocated in public life is the embodiment of the core and principles of socialist moral construction in public life, and it is also the basic requirement of socialist humanitarianism. Helping others is a traditional virtue of our country. Since ancient times, there have been many popular proverbs in China, such as "the beauty of a gentleman as an adult", "the best pleasure is to be kind to others" and "giving to others". People have three pleasures: enjoying themselves, being contented and helping others. Taking helping others as your happiest thing is the expression of love and the ardent expectation of society for college students. Forming the habit of helping others will be an inexhaustible spiritual wealth in life. As the saying goes, "Give someone a rose, leave a lingering fragrance in your hand". College students should be "proud of unity and mutual assistance, and ashamed of harming others", actively participate in public welfare undertakings, and care for and help others as much as possible.
In this survey, 57.75% people choose "regular participation", 37.97% people choose "not interested, divorced from the task, and occasionally deal with it", and 4.28% people choose "not to participate". Participating in public welfare activities is a good embodiment of college students' social morality, a spirit of selfless dedication and a strong sense of social responsibility. For students who do not like to participate in social welfare activities, the society should also give positive encouragement and guidance.
Among contemporary college students, most of them have little contact with society and are rarely involved in world disputes, so they have retained their original kindness and gratitude. In one of our personal interviews about voluntary blood donation, the interviewee answered every question neatly and without hesitation. She volunteered to be the first person to donate blood, which she thought was meaningful. When we ask, "Some people say that blood donation is dangerous and may even lead to diseases. Have you ever thought about it? " She simply replied, "No, I haven't thought about it. I just feel in good health, so it doesn't matter if I draw some blood. Moreover, there are still many people struggling on the verge of death, waiting for us to donate blood for rescue! " According to our survey data, 58.63% students actively participate in blood donation, and 36.3 1% students want to go, but they have no time. Only 10.06% students think that hospitals make money and don't give it.
etiquette
Politeness is an inevitable moral requirement in social communication, and a code of conduct to adjust and standardize interpersonal relationships, which is reflected in the subtleties of daily life. For example: respect the teacher, offer your seat and so on. In our survey, 84.54% of the respondents will take the initiative to say hello when they see the teacher on the road. This shows that contemporary college students have a high degree of understanding of respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching, and they can put them into action. Only 49.47% of the respondents will voluntarily give up their seats when they see the elderly, the sick and the disabled on the bus, and 48.47% will occasionally give up their seats according to the situation. This shows that the vast majority of college students have a positive attitude towards giving up their seats, accounting for 97.94% of the total, but only half of them can consistently turn moral cognition into every little thing. This shows that under the background of the new era, the politeness quality of college students needs to be improved to a new level.
environmental protection
Environmental protection is also an important part of social morality, and it is the unshirkable responsibility of college students. With the improvement of our surrounding environment, college students gradually realize the importance of caring for public property and protecting the environment. The survey shows that 87.05% students will "find the trash can and then throw it", 6.22% students will choose "throw it casually", and 6.74% students may "find a corner to throw it" because of face problems. In terms of not damaging environmental sanitation, most students have done a good job, that is, they can be "immune." However, when we really take environmental protection as the master, we college students have not done enough, that is, we can't "help the world at the same time". For example, only 5.73% people will clean up the garbage on the ground immediately when they see it, while 80.2 1% people want to clean it up but failed to do so in the end, and the remaining 14.06% people simply leave it alone. Analyzing the reasons, we find that college students now love face and think those vulgar rules are too rigid. It's embarrassing that everyone doesn't do it and I do it alone, so when I can choose to escape, I try to escape. For these phenomena, every responsible college student should take action, and don't think this is a shameful thing. In fact, the people who are most humiliated are often the proudest. 2 1 century needs the spirit of bending over. One more bend, and the world will be cleaner. In addition, we should resolutely oppose the "desk culture" prevailing on campus. Before you do anything, you should think about the possible consequences and influences and be responsible for your actions.
abide by laws and observe discipline
Law-abiding practice is an important way to improve people's social morality. In the field of social life, the composition of personnel is complex and the quality is uneven, and the normal life order may be affected, which needs to be maintained by discipline and regulations. College students should fully understand all kinds of laws and regulations, be familiar with school rules and disciplines, have a firm legal concept, "be proud of obeying laws and regulations, and be ashamed of breaking laws and regulations", and consciously abide by relevant disciplines and regulations. However, the law-abiding situation of contemporary college students is not very good, safety accidents occur from time to time, and cheating in exams is even more common. In our investigation of cheating in exams, 93.2% of students think that cheating is not surprising and can be handled calmly. In a survey of a university in Nanjing in 2003, 56.7% people did not believe that there were college students who had never cheated! This not only reflects an academic moral problem, but also reflects the lack of rule consciousness of contemporary college students. Many college students have a sense of sophistication and opportunism prematurely. It is true that to change this situation, we must not only rely on the correct guidance of society, but more importantly, college students should enhance their ideological and moral awareness and become socialist successors with ideals, morality, culture and discipline.
