Pianguan County’s transportation is mainly highways. The Yellow River Diversion Highway from Pinglu to Wanjiazhai crosses the central part of the county, and the original trunk road from Pingguanyang to Chuanmao in Inner Mongolia It passes through the county and has many simple roads centered on the county seat. The total length of roads in the county is 249 kilometers, including 66 kilometers of provincial roads, 129 kilometers of county roads, and 44 kilometers of township roads. All 15 towns in the county are connected to cars, and the traffic congestion situation has been greatly improved.

Ferry

There are many ferries along the Yellow River in Pianguan County. Wooden boats can be used as far south as Hequ, Baode and Jundu, which facilitates material exchange with other places.

In 2012, 80 new temporary parking spots and 6 passenger parking sheds were added. The passenger bus rate in villages reached more than 90%; the county's highway passenger volume reached 210,000 passengers; freight volume reached 1.75 million tons.
