Changsha, also known as Xingcheng, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital and megacity under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, an important central city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and a central city of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration approved by the State Council.
