Author: Wang Bo
by this wall that surrounds the three Qin districts, through a mist that makes five rivers one.
we bid each other a sad farewell, we two officials going opposite ways.
and yet, while China holds our friendship, and heaven remains our neighbourhood.
inaction is in the wrong way, and children * * * touch the towel.
Note
1. City Que: refers to Chang 'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty.
2. Auxiliary: escort.

Translation
In ancient times, the land of Sanqin protected the imperial palace of Chang 'an city wall.
The wind and smoke are rolling, but I can't see Wujin of Minjiang River in Shuzhou.
when I shake hands with you to say goodbye, I feel soulful to each other;
you and I are both people who are far away from home and go out to be officials.
As long as I have you in the four seas, my friend, my friend,
No matter how far apart I am, I feel like being together.
Please don't cry sadly on the parting road;
Like affectionate young men and women, they shed tears on each other's clothes.
Appreciation of this poem is a famous farewell work. Poetic consolation: don't be sad when you leave. The first sentence is strictly opposite, and the third and fourth sentences are inherited by scattered adjustment, and the reality is turned into emptiness, and the literary situation is ups and downs. The triple "and yet, while China holds our friendship, and heaven remains our neighbourhood", with its towering peaks, highly summarizes the scene of "profound friendship, mountains and rivers are hard to resist". The great words are self-made, passed down through the ages and are well-known. The theme of "sending" is pointed out at the end of the couplet. The opening and closing of the whole poem is frustrated, the pulse is circulating, and the artistic conception is broad-minded. Wash away the sadness in the ancient farewell poems, and the tone is bright and clear, fresh and lofty, and it is a unique stone tablet.
