It means that it rained all night, and it stopped in the morning. In autumn, the air in the mountains is particularly refreshing.

from-Tang Li Duan's "Maoling Mountain Travel with Weijin Department".

Original text: Su Yu came and rested in the morning, and the empty mountains were clear in autumn. Under the clouds and cranes, a cicada sings across the water. The yellow flowers on the ancient road fall, and the flat weeds burn red. Although Maoling is sick, he still has to accompany you.

It rained all night, and it stopped in the morning. In autumn, the air in the mountains is particularly refreshing. The flying crane hovering in the sky swooped down, and the cicadas kept barking across the stream. The yellow flowers on the edge of the ancient road have withered, and a sunset glow has appeared on the Yuan Ye. Although I am ill, it is good to be with you.

Author's brief introduction

Li Duan (about 737-about 784), a poet in Tang Dynasty, was born in Li's ancestral home in Zhao County. He is the cousin of Li Zue, the Gaoyang Queen of Wen Xuandi in the Northern Qi Dynasty, Lee Hyo jung VI.

I live in Lushan Mountain less, and my teacher's poems are brilliant. Jinshi in five years of Dali. He used to be the secretary of the provincial school, and Sima of Hangzhou. In his later years, he resigned from his post and lived in seclusion in Hengshan, Hunan Province, calling himself a hermit in Hengyue.

There are three volumes of Poems of Li Duan. Most of his poems are for entertainment, showing negative thoughts of avoiding the world, and some of his works also reflect the social reality. Some poems about boudoir are also elegant and can be recited, and their styles are similar to those of Sikong Shu. Li Duan is one of the ten gifted scholars in Dali. There are three volumes of Li Duan's Poems. His son, Li Yuzhong, is the official assistant minister of the Ministry of War.

Li Duan had a bumpy career. Zheng Gu, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, said in "Two Poems of Li Dong, a weeping scholar": "Li Duan eventually became a humble official, and Jia Dao gained a high reputation." When Li Duan was in Chang 'an, there were two important events that could not be ignored. The first was that Li Duan was good at the banquet of Princess Guo Ai and Shengping, and the other was that Li Duan was a scholar and he was awarded the school book lang.

Li Duan came to Chang' an in the first year of Yongtai (765) or a little before. During his stay in Chang 'an, his poems became famous. With his outstanding talent, he won the favor of Xu Ma Guo Ai and Princess Shengping, made friends with dignitaries and sang songs, and was good at the banquet.

At this time, most of Li Duan's poems are in the category of giving gifts and seeing off, and the fresh and bright poetic style has begun to appear. Among many poets, Li Duan's wit is outstanding, and the poems of this period give people a sense of "what is done is achieved". Of course, these poems are difficult to become excellent because of lack of consideration, but there are also some lively works. Such as "Send Wei Guang to Yangzhou to be a relative" and "Give Guo Xu a horse".

Li Duan took the imperial examination twice before and after, but it was unfavorable to take the examination twice from the first year to the third year of Dali. After three years of defeat in Dali, he embarked on the road of doing business. Such as the poem "Xia Di Shang Xue Assistant Minister".

Next, in the fifth year of Dali (77), Li Duan was awarded the title of scholar Li Bobang and secretary of the provincial school. And coincidentally, in the two to five years of Dali, it was always Xue Yong, the assistant minister of the Ministry of Rites and the person who promoted the year. It was Li Duan who wrote this poem when and after Xue Yong's tribute. Therefore, scholars fixed their eyes on this poem, but ignored the references of Yuan Zai's children and Xu Ma Guo Ai to Li Duan, a scholar who swam between dignitaries and dignitaries.

The imperial examination in the Tang Dynasty was actually a combination of examination and recommendation, and recommenders played a great role. Before the exam, you should first "stab" and "write a paper" to the dignitaries and ask for recommendation.

However, scholars only obtained the qualification of being an official, and they had to be elected by the official department to become an official. With Li Duan, there is an ancient wonder of having a golden orchid. In 763, Li Duan was a scholar in Baoying, but he was never granted an official position. However, Li Duan was awarded the post of Schoolboy in Jinshi and soon after, which shows that the official career situation is completely different.
