If the common people have meritorious service, then the sound of jade will absorb the energy, the aura will be connected with nature, the heaven and the earth will be harmonious, the people will be transformed into good customs, blessings will be gathered and misfortunes will be eliminated, and life and death will be blessed. If you recite it verbally, your heart will be violated, your body will be fascinated, you will have no sincerity and respect, and your hands will be lazy and your hands will be too busy. Even if you recite it thousands of times a day, what will it do to yourself? How can it eliminate disasters? If you are reciting it for others, you should hold it with sincerity, so that the master of the fast can teach you and communicate with him sincerely, so that the common people will not receive the fasting offerings in vain. Pray for it and dispel your misgivings, and you will naturally feel it. For example, if you use correct language, laugh and talk harmoniously, think unfocusedly, or recite filthy words, this will not only be of no benefit to the host, but will cause harm to yourself. Don't be greedy for officials, don't be addicted to noise, or even indulge in sound and sex, be good on the outside but good on the inside, and don't be afraid of incense, fire, and gods. They are not allowed to be ignorant and have bad rules and regulations. Those who follow later do not obey, are frivolous, do not practice the sect, but are stubborn and arrogant, and have made mistakes from the beginning. They must be punished according to the rites and laws, the rules and regulations should be strict, and the teachings should be publicized. If there is no mercy, all sins should be punished. They are stationery, empty talk about cause and effect, talk about seductive words in songs, have no realm of fame and gain, are greedy for wealth, indulge in love and splendor, do not pay attention to the true character and family tradition, and are sinking into the foundation of their ancestors. It can be as simple as discussing punishment and letting oneself suffer; as serious as being able to comply with the precepts and go down the mountain to be expelled from the family.
