In this golden October, in this harvest season, and on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the enlistment of Shangrao comrades in the former Fuzhou Military Region Unit 3213, we are gathered in Poyang, my lovely hometown and beautiful lake city. Comrades and brothers, thirty-five years ago, we were in the prime of life and our youth rippled; Thirty-five years ago, we were full of lofty sentiments. With the same vision and dreams, we put on our military uniforms and came to Changtai County, Fujian Province, a strange southeast front line, from different places in the former Shangrao area, and entered the military camp. From then on, we became comrades-in-arms and brothers.
Looking back at the days and nights in the army, we used to study, live, train and stand guard in a new company. After the end of the recruits company, according to the needs of work, we were assigned to companies such as automobile company, repair company, anti-aircraft gun company and communication company, and some of them were assigned to organs. Since then, we have made our own contribution to the modernization of the army in different posts. In those days when military songs were flying, and on the day and night when the bugle sounded loud, we endured the torment of missing our relatives in our hometown, kept in touch with our relatives by letters, kept our expectation for the future by waiting, fought against high temperature and cold, fought mosquitoes and caught small bites, overcame great inadaptability, and devoted ourselves to barracks construction, political study, military training and productive labor. On Shili Mountain, we shed the sweat of carrying stones, and at Tiantou shooting range, we left the footprint of shooting training. On Dongshan Island, we were active in military exercises. Although the training is very tense, the work is very tiring and the life is very bitter, we have forged a deep friendship among comrades. When you meet in construction, you will say hello with a cordial local accent; Visit each other during holidays, or go shopping in Changtai county together to buy things; When someone's parents visit the army, it is a good opportunity and time for us to get together. I remember that thirty years ago, in the excitement and joy, I realized my dream of being a soldier. I took the south train and came to a new and unfamiliar military camp. Dear comrades-in-arms, 3 years ago, in response to the call of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission, in order to defend our country and fulfill our sacred mission, we left our homeland and set foot on a long distance, and came to Dayi Mountain full of youthful enthusiasm and ideals and began our military career.
