Jiamusi University allows you to change majors.

1. Conditions for major adjustment

Those who meet one of the following conditions can apply for major adjustment:

(1) Those with academic scores in the top 40 in the class;

(2) Students are interested in or have expertise in other majors during their studies, and are more suitable for studying other majors;

(3) Students are found to have certain diseases or physical defects after enrollment, and often Those who have a diagnosis certificate from the school hospital or a Grade II A or above hospital designated by the school cannot study in the original major, but can still study in other majors of the school;

(4) Participate in innovation and entrepreneurship training programs for college students in other majors, Publish academic papers (original publications) in professional journals, or other demonstrable achievements;

(5) Students who have taken a leave of absence to start a business or have returned to school after retirement need to change majors due to their own circumstances;

(6) The student does have some special difficulties and cannot continue studying without changing his major.

2. Other requirements for major adjustment

(1) Students admitted according to the national special admissions form (including college-to-undergraduate students) are not allowed to apply to change majors;

( 2) Art and physical education students are not allowed to transfer across subjects to other majors;

(3) In principle, they cannot transfer between different majors such as liberal arts and sciences;

(4) Students admitted in lower batches are not allowed to transfer to high-batch majors across batches, and clinical medicine and stomatology majors are not allowed to transfer to each other;

(5) Students in Sino-foreign cooperative education majors are in principle in this major After completing their studies, students can also transfer to relevant majors based on their wishes and school conditions and in compliance with relevant school regulations.

3. Professional adjustment procedures

(1) The registration period is February 24-26, 2019. Late applications will not be accepted. The student himself fills out the "Jiamusi University 2018 Student Major Adjustment Application (Confirmation) Form" (see Attachment 1) and submits relevant supporting materials (original and copy). The application form and supporting materials are submitted to the Student Status Management Section of the Academic Affairs Office (Main Building 3009) room).

(2) The school determines whether to assess students based on their registration status and the capacity of majors they transfer to. For those who need to participate in the assessment, the school will organize a separate assessment, and the assessment time and content will be notified separately.

(3) Based on the preliminary review results and assessment scores, the school will draw up a list of students for major adjustment, and submit it to the school leader for approval after it is announced that there is no objection.

(4) After being approved, students should go to the Academic Affairs Office to receive a major adjustment notice, and students can use the notice to handle major adjustment matters.

4. Others

All aspects of major adjustment are fully disclosed, and the school’s Discipline Inspection Commission is fully involved in supervising the major adjustment of 2018 students.

For students who do not participate in the assessment due to various reasons, the school will not organize another assessment.

Each college should notify every student of the school’s work arrangements for major adjustment for 2018 students, so that students can understand the major adjustment policies and procedures, and in particular, remind students of the time points and related requirements for major adjustment. When notifying students, it is important to emphasize that students who adjust their majors do not need to pay any fees.
