Middle School Students and Network Popular Culture
Network is a treasure house of resources, which gives us middle school students a space to communicate with the world, and it is convenient for us to find information and solve problems. Online shopping enables us to buy cheap, novel and fashionable treasures. At the same time, online chatting and online games are good channels for us to communicate with the society. However, in all kinds of mass culture commercialized by the Internet, we should have enough awareness of prevention, and make our life more exciting by connecting various novel mass cultural activities on the Internet.
Making friends and chatting online is the main purpose of teenagers surfing the internet at present. According to an online survey, 1 1.5% of teenagers meet netizens, 56.3% never meet, and 32.2% occasionally contact. Online dating is carried out in a "back-to-back" situation, which easily leads to lying and virtual psychological reflection among teenagers, and meeting netizens is potentially extremely dangerous. Five college students were raped when they met with netizens in our city. Therefore, careless online dating can easily infringe on the interests of teenagers.
The fire in Beijing Blue Speed Internet Cafe finally caused huge casualties! This incident has caused a great shock in the society and made people think deeply-why do Internet cafes attract so many teenagers? The reason is that teenagers in this period sometimes fantasize about the virtual world. They are curious about everything, so they go to Internet cafes. Coupled with the high computer in the internet cafe, they are super happy when playing games, as well as the beautiful pictures of the game itself, touching storylines, exciting violent scenes, and a little vanity when playing games. This information quickly paralyzes unsuspecting teenagers and makes them fall into it.
According to some surveys, teenagers' online purposes are divided into practical purposes, entertainment purposes, using network technology and looking for information. More than 50% of the functions used are online games (62%) and chat rooms (54.5%), followed by e-mail (48.6%). About 50% of young users have friends who keep in touch by email; 25.2% young users often speak in chat rooms or BBS; 37.6% teenagers use ICQ to contact friends they know or don't know. Teenagers' needs for the Internet are mainly "getting news", "satisfying personal hobbies", "improving learning efficiency", "researching interesting issues" and "making new friends".
The network society has quietly arrived. We can't ignore the problems it brings because of its strong vitality and great positive role in the development of middle school students, nor can we stay away from it because of its negative role.
Facing the strong attraction of online pop culture to us, we can't change it, but we can constantly improve ourselves. According to our psychological characteristics, we put forward some suggestions:
First, increase publicity to make young people aware of the negative impact of the Internet, so as to effectively reduce and avoid the harm of the Internet to young people and make them play a positive role to the maximum extent.
Second, online activities that are conducive to the healthy growth of young people are often held to attract young people to actively participate and achieve a subtle role in guiding education.
Third, we should consider setting up a website to publicize positive information and increase the click-through rate for teenagers' attention. For example, learning, making friends, employment, psychological counseling, legal aid and other forms of interest to teenagers have enriched the services for teenagers.
Fourth, we should recognize the harm of browsing bad web pages and consciously resist them. Hacking, which is so harmful to society, cannot be done. If it involves state secret information, we destroy or steal it, which is more harmful to national security. We all know that pirated software is also pirated and should bear legal responsibility.
