If it’s for freedom, everything can be thrown away.
Only those who have experienced the loss of freedom can understand the preciousness of freedom. After ten days of silence, my city finally came to the end of the lockdown and started work.
Starting from 0:00 this morning, this quiet city began to regain its former fireworks. It can be seen from the media in the morning that at 0:00 last night, all control checkpoints on the road had been removed. The streets were silent at midnight, with only the figures of the guards putting away the warning tapes and isolation piers. There was a sense of lightness in the exhaustion. I think they are the ones who have worked the hardest, and the lifting of the lockdown is also a relief and comfort for them. .
Some merchants got up just after midnight, and the breakfast shop turned on the lights early. That was because they were preparing to sell breakfast early in the morning. The nearby residents are also thinking about this long-lost delicacy and familiar taste.
It was around four o'clock, the sky had just cleared up, and the adults and aunties who had been doing morning exercises had already taken the lead in walking out of the community, aiming for the Park Plaza, which they had not been to for ten days. Of course, masks are required. Yesterday, there was a lot of buzz in Moments: It’s been unblocked, so take it easy, don’t go too crazy, or you’ll be blocked again!
During the ten days of silence, I had to get up at around four o'clock almost every day to serve the community as a volunteer and do nucleic acid. Now that I suddenly have to go to work, I am really not used to it.
When I got to class, I was even unfamiliar with the sign-in machine. The guy in front tried to scan his face and check his fingerprints again, but after tinkering for a while he still couldn't identify it. It was me, and it was the same at first. My fingerprint didn't respond, but I scanned my face and it passed. It seems that the facial recognition machine has become insensitive after not being used for ten days.
I haven’t been to work for ten days. The desks and chairs in the office are covered in dust, and there are many willow catkins on the ground. I picked up the basin and towel and headed to the water room. All I met on the way were smiling faces behind masks.
When I finished cleaning, the two ladies from the office arrived. The first thing I said when we met was: "Long time no see!" Oh! Just one sentence: "I miss you very much!"
Just when I was about to sit down and make a cup of tea, my mobile phone WeChat rang a "ding dong". Then if you take a look, the boss asked me to go there after work. After ten days of silence, it seemed that his short temper had reached its limit and he would be working at full capacity as soon as he got to work.
In an instant, I myself had to "resurrect with full health." I took a sip of water, picked up my laptop and went upstairs, preparing for the "stormy storm" after work resumed.
Throughout the morning, the work group was buzzing with "ding-dong" sounds. It seems that the ten days of silence have indeed accumulated a lot of work, and this is going to be a revengeful rebound!
However, consider that you still have a job to do, and some people are already facing unemployment or even bankruptcy. Life is so difficult under the current circumstances, so be content! Cherish your current work, be kind to yourself and others, and live every day seriously.
While we are celebrating the lifting of the lockdown, some of our friends are still under lockdown. Looking at his circle of friends, he is full of envy and helplessness. However, an hour later, I saw the video he sent: holding the guitar and live broadcasting.
Ajie is especially happy today. During the May Day period, he contracted "three-thirds of land" in a suburban farming experience garden and planted some vegetables, including eggplants, peppers, and lettuce. After not seeing each other for ten days, he got a lot of surprises, especially the green lettuce, which looked very pleasant. His circle of friends is even more vibrant, and the green vegetables are like the "green code" that is popular everywhere, which is lovable and inspiring.
Looking out the window from the office to the street, there are busy cars and huge crowds of people. Compared to yesterday, it feels like a dream. Those who are still under lockdown should have stronger feelings than this about the upcoming day when the lockdown is lifted!
Cherish the present and live well now. Who knows which one will come first, tomorrow or the accident?
