The city by the river is as beautiful as the picture, and the mountains are getting late. I climbed the Xie Tiao Building to overlook the clear sky. Between the two rivers, one lake is like a bright mirror; The two bridges on the river look like rainbows falling from the sky.

jiāng chéng rú huà lǐ，shān wǎn wàng qíng káng。 Li Jue, Li Jue, Li Jue, Li Jue.

Orange forest pomelo is set off in the cold smoke of kitchen smoke; Autumn is boundless, and the phoenix tree has become old. Who will go to the North Building to thank the public?

rén yān hán jú yòu，QIsèláo wútóng。 shui niàn bíI lóu shàng，lín fng HuáIèg ng？

Commentary: The city by the river is as beautiful as the picture. It's getting late in the mountains, so I climb the Xie Tiao Building and overlook the clear sky. Wanxi and Juxi surround Xuancheng like mirrors, while Phoenix and Jichuan Bridge fall into the world like rainbows.

The thin cold smoke in the village permeates between oranges and grapefruit, and the plane tree has withered in the color of late autumn. Besides me, who else would like to come to the North Building of Xie Tiao to meet the autumn wind in Xiao Sa and the poet Xie Gong of Nanqi?

This poem was written shortly before the An Shi Rebellion broke out, when Xie Tiao Villa in Xuanzhou bid farewell to Minister Shu Yun. Li Bai was rejected by powerful people in Chang 'an, and he was released only after giving money.

After leaving office, he has been frustrated politically and lived a wandering life. In the autumn of Tianbao 12th year (753) and Tianbao 13th year (754) of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Li Bai came to Xuancheng twice, and this poem was regarded as the year after the Mid-Autumn Festival.
