This documentary tells the story of Dick Pronek, who built his own cabin in the wilderness at the bottom of Aleutian Peninsula in the late 1960s, and now it is Clark Lake National Park.
Pronek used his own color video to record how he came to this remote area, chose a homestead and built his own hut completely. This documentary tells about his first year in this country, showing his daily activities and seasonal changes when he made a living alone in the wilderness.
