People always ask me about intergenerational parenting, and most parents assume that "it's impossible to change the elderly." I want to say that children can think about this question: Why is it so difficult for us to change the elderly in our daily lives? Because in the inherent environment and accustomed life, it is difficult for the elderly to be "lit up". If the mother who wants a mother can also keep up with the times, we must find a way to "light up" her first, and then the contradiction in intergenerational parenting will naturally be solved slowly.
Another link is that we always talk about respecting our elders, but it makes our elders feel that they are "useless" because their work does not meet our requirements. You can imagine that if we can make the elderly feel that they can be appreciated and praised, she will want to do better and be closer to our requirements. Therefore, what my mother received during her studies was not only the praise of her teammates, but also the inner motivation that encouraged her to keep up with the times and get closer to us.
The last time I traveled with my mother was many years ago. I had been thinking about traveling together again, but was delayed by the epidemic. On the occasion of my mother’s birthday this year, I invited her to join our study camp in Guizhou. After hearing this, she didn’t hesitate at all. She immediately started taking medicine for health care of her legs and feet, prepared many beautiful clothes, and brought painting paints, etc. wait. Along the way, she gathered on time, carried her own bag, was friendly to others, and did not rely on her old age. When she saw that I needed to work with the team at night, she always took care of herself and never caused trouble for her daughter.
I think as a daughter, there is not much that I can give to my elderly mother, because she lacks nothing materially. However, if I can bring the great rivers, mountains and cultures to my mother; I can give her some special opportunities, such as the opportunity to make friends and express herself, the opportunity to show off my painting skills, and the opportunity to be praised by the juniors... Then the mother will definitely feel it in her heart, because this is a different kind of tribute to life.
Thanks to my mother for writing another good article for the official account, and I wish my mother a happy birthday!

In early July, I was fortunate enough to participate in the "Qianxing Parent-Child Summer Camp" activity. Walking every day among the green mountains and green waters of the ancient villages around Guiyang, I saw new things constantly emerging during the journey. I was deeply inspired at this age, and it also inspired my childlike innocence, and I spent more than ten unforgettable days and nights in my life. .
To be honest, this is my first time attending a parent-child study summer camp with school-age teenagers. I thought that the study tour was just for entertainment, so that the children would have something to rely on during the summer. The trip must be safe and happy, which would also reduce the pressure on parents to take care of them. However, the dinner after the induction ceremony deeply moved me. I.
Before the meal, the children, led by their older sisters, recited the dining etiquette and precautions, and then invited the grandparents in the team to sit down. When I was still declining my thanks, the parents in the team immediately persuaded me to let my children inherit the catering culture of the sages, respect their elders in an orderly manner, eat in a civilized manner, correct their children's "self-centered" thinking habits, and make up for the lack of cultivation. Parents suggest it, and if the children are willing, I will agree. In an instant, as an old man, I accepted the unparalleled respect from children and parents.
In the following trip, whenever I encountered mountain climbing or going up steps, the children would take the initiative to help me, and they would also rush to carry my satchel. I couldn't bear to let my children help me, but my teammates' parents said to me: "Grandma, just give your children a chance!" In this subtle way, parents planted the idea of ??"helping the elderly and helping others" in their children's young minds. "The seeds of this will shape the spiritual core of children with both good character and academic excellence.
After a few days, I felt that the study summer camp was unusual and very attractive. It was based on the natural scenery of Guizhou’s cascading mountains and the unique ethnic minority customs. It also combined with the scientific knowledge of landscape and adopted the methods of Field-style on-site teaching teaches children popular science and humanistic knowledge; we lead children to visit museums and other places to conduct multi-faceted inspection experiences, which has achieved immediate educational results.
With great enthusiasm, parents accompany their children to study and work together. They also go to the rice fields to catch fish, perform on the stage, sit in the classroom to paint, and do carpentry...
Creation comes from life, high In life, these activities are the best living teaching materials, which not only open up the wisdom of children's brains, but also enrich social cognition, strengthen humanistic communication, and add more energy to growth.
I have special feelings for Guizhou. After the Anti-Japanese War broke out in the 1930s, my father went to the front line with the Chinese Expeditionary Force to fight against the Japanese in Anshun (Note: a municipality under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province, located in the central and western part of Guizhou Province). . My mother had to cope with the labor alone, delivered her own baby, and welcomed my birth in a simple bungalow on a slope next to a road in Duyun (Note: a municipality under the jurisdiction of Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, located in the eastern part of southern Guizhou Province). After that, I lived in Guiyang for another five years, but I barely retained any memories of my childhood, so I have always had a wish to visit my birthplace again in my lifetime, take a look at the scenery of Guizhou, and appreciate the mountains and rivers here. It gave birth to my life and childhood.
When I set foot on this homeland, the rich aroma of vegetation immediately penetrated my heart, making me intoxicated. "Yunfeng Bazhai" is located south of Anshun City. It consists of eight villages including Yunshan Village, Lei Tun, Benzhai, Xiaoshanzhai and Wutun. Among them, Yunshan Village is hidden deep in the Yunjiu Mountain Canyon. It is the hub of the ancient Yunnan-Guizhou post road and one of the best-preserved "Tunbao Cultural Villages" today.
The natural and simple Yunshan Tunbao
Stay in the village, walk through the streets, take a close look at the Tuen Gate, the gate towers, and the village walls, and walk on the ancient bluestone roads dating from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Climbing up to the stage of the theater and the Temple of Wealth, touching the brick carvings, stone carvings, and wood carvings in the door towers and windows, and walking into shops and houses, I appreciated the most natural and simple ecological environment, and personally experienced the wisdom and culture of my ancestors. These scenery are like living fossils, confirming the long history and customs of Guizhou’s ancient towns that my mother described to me during her lifetime.
Today’s development of urban construction in Guizhou also makes me applaud! Next to my residence "Dacheng Jingshe" is the Guiyang Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park, which is known as the natural "big air conditioner". Natural mountains and rivers, ten miles of river beach wetlands, wooden bridges built along the river, we walked among the lotus beaches and lush woods, enjoying the picturesque scenery. You can see the lotus blooming, reflecting the emerald green of the lotus leaves, and the lotus flowers standing with their roots underwater; the fish are swimming and busy in search of food, and their agile jumping is eye-catching. On a scorching day, with good weather, tourists of all ages hug each other, and couples accompany each other. They linger to choose the best scenery and take exquisite photos.
In the evening, stroll around the nearby towns to go to the Tooth Festival, and board the restaurant’s dining room with a view. The high-quality and low-priced dishes and the wide variety of dishes will dazzle you, but often the eyes are high and the appetite is high. Low, the food intake is limited, and each delicacy can only be tasted briefly to satisfy the happiness. Walking the way home is also a good idea. A night tour of the wetland is unique and unique. On the quiet road, you can watch the moon and count the stars, listen to the sound of frogs and footsteps, smell the fragrance of rice flowers, and feel the rustling of leaves. The night view is vivid and sweet. A rare experience and an artistic conception that is hard to let go.
Villages of ethnic minorities such as Dong and Miao villages have long histories, cultures and unique customs. For example, Pingpo's Miao paintings, Zhaoxing's "batik" craftsmanship, Zhanli Township's "miraculous doctor", Tang'an Dong Ecological Museum's terraces, etc., embody the intelligence and talents of the working people, and they are worthy of our pride. It also opened my eyes, enriched my cultural life in my later years, and left me with endless aftertaste!
In the Pingpo Miao Village, a group of children and I were "crowded" in a batik-making workshop, watching attentively a Miao painter holding a heated copper sharp knife, intoxicatingly melting ink. In liquid wax, very fine lines are drawn on the white gray cloth.
I was curious about this special drawing knife. I picked it up casually, and the "hot" feeling immediately spread to my fingers, wow! I thought about how I once taught myself to use a scraper for oil painting, but the operation was quite unsatisfactory. I felt that I could not control it as easily as a brush.
I admire the Pingpo Miao Village painters for their skill in using the knife and pen, and the paintings they create are so beautiful. Especially when I knew that they had not received professional training and were completely inspired by the essence of nature, I was even more impressed.
Female painters paint mountains, water, people, and heaven and earth, with strong contrast between warm and cold colors, exquisite creativity, and superb works; they also use fish and water patterns to form facial makeup, which has profound connotations and looks like Picasso in the West. When I read it, I wanted to say "It's amazing"!
I "greedily" collected exquisite paintings, brought them back to Shanghai and copied them slowly, which enriched my life and was one of the biggest gains of my trip.
The summer camp is coming to an end, and everyone is busy preparing their luggage and saying goodbye to each other. Interestingly, teacher Lei Jia who was traveling with me at this time brought me a birthday cake, but I didn’t hear clearly which group member’s birthday it was. When I hurried to the lobby of "Dacheng Jingshe", I saw some of our teammates and children painting on the tables and chairs in the side hall. The assistant of the team said to me: "Grandma, come and paint too!"
At this time, the little girl came over and looked at me expectantly. I consider myself to be a senior college student in painting skills. I don’t have solid basic skills, so I don’t have the confidence to give paintings to others. But the assistant had already prepared pens and paints, and it was really a rush to put them on the shelves. I adjusted the colors and painted a blooming pink peony flower on the small round umbrella as a gift to the lovely Tuan Tuan!
At this time, I learned that it was the birthday of the girl Luo Yuan. I quickly asked for cardboard and traditional Chinese paints, and drew a picture of peony flowers, a national color and fragrant flower. I wished Luo Yuan a happy birthday and a bright future!
This is my first time painting as a gift to a friend while traveling, and I feel very happy. I think the chance encounter thousands of miles away is fate, and the gift of a painting is a beautiful memory. Being able to share happiness is also thanks to the blessings of the younger generation.
I would like to take this article to thank all the friends who have accompanied us on the journey for their care and help. With everyone's solidarity and friendly support, I feel younger and younger; the children in the team are full of energy, which also gives me the courage to keep walking, and I don't feel tired during the journey. I am very grateful to everyone for bringing me the strength and bringing me the greatest happiness in life!
