The Story of the Ugly Little Hedgehog

“Why do you lie in the nest all day and don’t come out?” The happy little squirrel stood beside the hedgehog. hole, calling to its shy neighbor, the little hedgehog.

"Because I'm afraid of seeing other people!" came the tiny voice of the little hedgehog inside.

"Then what's there to be afraid of? Everyone is very friendly, and they all want to be friends with you!" the little squirrel comforted.

"I know, but I look ugly...and I'm covered in thorns...you won't like me!" the little hedgehog said hesitantly.

"That's great. Your thorns can protect us. Besides, there still needs to be some distance between friends. This is your advantage!" The little squirrel exclaimed excitedly.

"But I'm not as eloquent as you. What can I talk to others about?" The little hedgehog stuck his head out, his face flushed with embarrassment.

"You are also very eloquent. Let's see how good you are at making excuses for yourself!" the little squirrel said jokingly. "You can say whatever you want. We can chat with friends in our club casually. You can also enjoy honey there. Maybe everyone will recommend you to serve in the security department!"

Hearing this, The little hedgehog finally took that step and became a member of the Animal Club.
