Liushi Town is located in the west-central part of Hengnan County. It was formed by the merger of the three original townships of Suzhou, Longque and Gushan. It has jurisdiction over 43 villages and 2 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 42,000. The town borders Chejiang to the east, Maoshi to the west, Lijiang to the south, and Lianzhou City to the north, with a total area of ??120 square kilometers.

Liushi Town is only 30 kilometers away from Hengyang City. However, before 2003, the traffic in the town was still very congested and it was extremely inconvenient for villagers to travel. In 2006, the Provincial Xinyi Forestry Company built an industrial raw material forest base of 3,500 acres in the town, which effectively promoted the conversion of farmland into forests and the construction of fruit trees in the town. Before 2005, there was no industrial enterprise in the town. After the formation of a large-scale transportation structure, the town's investment prospects are promising. Seven companies, including Liuyang Fireworks Factory, Hongxing Smelting Factory, Xusheng Chemical Industry, and Bailian Copper, have settled in the town. , the rich mineral resources of gold, copper, iron, coal and other mineral resources in the territory have attracted investors in droves.
