The History and Culture of Huize Ancient City
Huize was established very early, and Tanglang County was established in the Western Han Dynasty, becoming one of the earliest four counties in Yunnan.

Huize has more than 20 nationalities including Han, Hui, Yi, Zhuang and Miao. At the same time, it is also the hometown of Yi people, the earliest indigenous people in Huize.

According to historical documents and textual research, as far back as the pre-Qin period, due to the flood, the ancestors of the Yi people organized a major "six-ancestor branch" activity in the history of the Yi people from Abu Dumu, and sent their six sons (Wu, Zha, coward, Heng, Bu and Mo) to six places for temporary shelter from the flood, among which the fifth son (Bu) and the sixth son (Mo) were in some branches. Before the Yuan Dynasty, the Lushi of the Yi people became more and more powerful and formed a ruling force. It was not until the thirty-eighth year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (A.D. 1699) that Lu's rule ended.

In more than 300 years, the Lushi people not only built a tucheng, but also built a Tufu yamen, as well as an official emperor club, offering sacrifices to the Yi people, Qingyun Temple, Lushi residence built in the Ming Dynasty ... In addition, the rich feelings of the Yi people have formed a series of Yi history and culture.
