Genealogy is the life history of a family. It is a continuous record of family development, which not only records the origin and migration track of the family, but also includes the whole historical and cultural process of family life, reproduction, marriage, culture, clan rules, clan agreements and so on. A family tree, without exception, records the touching entrepreneurial process of ancestors, bears the brand of the times and reflects the glory of history and culture. There are joys and sorrows, and there are lessons. This is a living history, without hypocrisy and pretense, without any utilitarian color. This will undoubtedly play an invaluable role in understanding history, loving the motherland and patriotism, connecting feelings and communicating at home and abroad. He is one of the three major documents (national history, local chronicles and genealogy) in China, belonging to precious cultural materials and rich cultural heritage. This is of great historical value to the study of China's humanistic development and its composition.

"The family has a pedigree and the country has a history."

The country has history, and the family can't live without history. The lineage of a surname, connecting the preceding with the following, can be traced back to several generations. My ancestors immigrated from Hongdong, Shanxi Province for more than 600 years. The Ji family is prosperous and has many descendants. However, due to various historical reasons, the genealogy has not been established so far, the genealogy has gradually been lost, the epitaph on the grave has been almost destroyed, and people within the clan have frequent exchanges, estranged contacts, unclear generations and disordered names. If you don't make efforts to remedy it and establish a genealogy, you will humiliate your ancestors and leave your descendants behind, and it will be too late to regret it!

However, there are many people with lofty ideals in our family. As early as ten years ago, Wen Taigong, Jing Yun Jun and Zhongxing Jun began to collect and sort out family information, which laid a good foundation for the writing of genealogy. Then, the editorial board of Ji's genealogy was established, and a large-scale family investigation was carried out under the impetus of the editorial board. Later, Xinxiang city occupied an area, and it was necessary to move the ancestral graves and clarify the ancestral graves for 600 years. All these provide us with a golden opportunity to compile Ji's genealogy. The documents, contracts, bills left over from history, as well as the inscriptions on the surrounding rural temples, have become strong evidence for us to compile genealogy. Subsequently, under the leadership of Wen Taigong and He, he continued to search for the tomb tablet of Ji Zu, and finally made the tomb tablet of Ji Zu buried underground for more than 50 years see the light of day again, which played a decisive role in clarifying Ji Zu's ancestors. History helps those who help themselves. Ji's genealogy finally met with everyone, and there was a little worry under the joy. With a long history of 600 years, how can a few people who don't know anything do it? Without the help of our ancestors, how can we succeed easily? Although we have tried our best and carefully revised it, it is inevitable that there will be some unsatisfactory places and even mistakes. I also hope that my Ji nationality will continue to improve and carry forward my Ji genealogy in the spirit of "making up for the shortcomings of history, making mistakes in history and not continuing history".
