Local people have a long history of collecting, planting and processing medicinal materials. With the deepening of the adjustment of planting structure, the area of artificially planted medicinal materials in Xiawa Town is getting larger and larger, and the variety is mainly Astragalus. In 2005, the planting area of Astragalus reached 4000 mu. In 2006, it is planned to promote the planting of 20,000-30,000 mu of Chinese medicinal materials with Astragalus as the main material, and focus on developing irrigated land 1 10,000 mu, so as to gradually develop the southern part of Xiawa Town into the largest medicinal material supply base in Northeast China. From the analysis of the current domestic and international market demand, Astragalus membranaceus and other Chinese herbal medicines have not only made new progress in medicine, but also made new progress in health care products. Therefore, the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines has the potential for sustainable development, and the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines in Xiawa Town has broad prospects.
