Content introduction:
This book studies the outline of "Modern China" from the perspective of social history and concept history. The first part discusses the changes of Manchu-Chinese relations under the rule of Qing Dynasty. Paying attention to the complexity of "Modern China" from the perspective of social history is not to put China's modern history in another book, but to more accurately grasp how China responded to the impact from the West in a global perspective. The second part discusses the introduction and reproduction of modern western knowledge from the perspective of the relationship between East and West. The third part discusses China's modern self-relationship with the theme of religion/Christianity. The fourth part discusses the relationship between the above different aspects and the methods held by the discussant.
