Are Guan Yu and Lu Bu contemporaries?
Yes, they are all figures in the Three Kingdoms period.

1, Guan Yu (? ~ 220 years), the word Yunchang, Xiaozilong, was born in Xie Xian, Hedong County (now Xiezhou Town, Yanhu District, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province). A famous soldier in the Three Kingdoms period at the end of Han Dynasty.

2. Lu Bu (? ~1February 7, 1999), the word Fengxian, was born in Jiuyuan County, Wuyuan County, Binzhou. One of the heroes in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

When the 18th Route Warlords jointly crusaded against Dong Zhuo, Lu Bu fought Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei in front of Hulao Pass, but failed. Wang Yun lured Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu with the story of Diusim, and used a series of tricks to make Lu Bu kill Dong Zhuo. Later defeated by Li Jue and Guo Si, he retreated from Chang 'an. When Cao Cao attacked Tao Qian in Xuzhou, he, Chen Gong and Zhang Miao occupied Puyang. After being defeated by Cao Cao, he attached himself to Liu Bei in Xuzhou and took advantage of Liu Bei's battle with Yuan Shu.

Extended data:

In the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Lu Bu is called the first valiant soldier in the Three Kingdoms. Lu Bu was Ding Yuan's adopted son when he appeared. Because Ding Yuan opposed Dong Zhuo, Lu Bu defeated Dong Zhuo for a period of time, but later he was bought by Su Li with a red hare. Tian Fang painted a halberd and went to Dong Zhuo to kill Ding Yuan and became a father and son with Dong Zhuo, so he was called a slave of the three surnames by Zhang Fei.

When Guan Yu courted Dong Zhuo in the 18th town, he chopped Hua Xiong with warm wine and beat Lu Bu with three British troops. Liu Bei was defeated in Xuzhou, so he refused to surrender to Cao Cao on three things, lifted the siege of Cao Cao's white horse, beheaded Yan Liang and punished Wen Chou. Knowing that Liu Bei was backward, he rode Ma Qianli alone, beheaded the Cai Yang brothers, and gathered the three brothers in the ancient city. When Battle of Red Cliffs was in Huarong Road, he could not bear to kill Cao Cao and let him go.

After Liu Bei became king, Guan Yu worshipped the head of the five tiger generals, led the troops to capture Xiangyang, flooded the seven armies, beheaded Pound and escaped from the Forbidden City. In the battle of Fancheng, he was assassinated by a poisonous arrow, scraping the bones to cure poison, and then Lv Meng crossed the river in white to attack Jingzhou, and Huang Xu took the opportunity to seize Yancheng. Guan Yu was attacked between Scylla and Charybdis, defeated Maicheng, and was later killed. Shu, Wu and Wei San all held funerals for him. After his death, he appeared several times, chasing the soul of Monroe, scolding Sun Quan and scaring Cao Cao.
