Is Qutan Temple in Ledu worth visiting?
Ledu Qutan Temple is a famous Tibetan Buddhist temple in Qinghai, and it is also the best preserved Ming Dynasty architectural complex in northwest China. Gotama is Sanskrit, which means Buddha. The architectural style of Qutan Temple is completely different from that of most Tibetan Buddhist temples in Qinghai. It is more like a Buddhist temple in the mainland of China, and is known as the Little Forbidden City in Qinghai. Qutan Temple is located in Ma Quan Goukou, 265,438+0km south of Ledu County. The temple is located in a slightly square castle, surrounded by rammed loess walls and divided into three courtyards: front, middle and back. On a central axis, there are three halls in turn: Shanmen, Jingang Hall, Qutan Temple, Baoguang Hall and Guolong Hall. On both sides of the main hall, there are imperial tablet pavilions, small bell and drum towers, etc.
