Historical allusions: the story of orphan Zhao
Tu'an Gu, the general, was cruel and overbearing, and made a loyal doctor, Zhao Dun. With his encouragement, the King of Jin ordered the Zhao family to be beheaded. Overnight, Zhao Dun and his son Zhao Shuo, family, handmaiden and so on, totaling more than 300 people fell in a pool of blood and became ghosts. Zhao Shuo's wife, Princess Zhuang Ji, survived because she was the sister of the monarch and was sent back to live in the inner palace. At this time, she was pregnant.

A few months later, Princess Zhuang Ji gave birth to a baby boy named Wu Zhao, but all this failed to escape Tu'an Gu's eyes. He has ordered the blockade of the inner palace. In the name of seeing a doctor, the princess called Zhao's close friend and village doctor to the inner palace, tearfully demanding that the child be rescued from the palace. Cheng Ying put Wu Zhao in the medicine cabinet and prepared to take him out of the palace. Han Biao, the commander of the garrison, was very impressed by Cheng Ying's justice. He let Cheng Ying and Wu Zhao go and drew his sword and committed suicide. Unable to find the whereabouts of Zhao's orphan, he was very angry and announced that he would kill all the babies in this country within six months.

In order to save the orphans of Zhao State and all the innocent babies in Jin State, I negotiated with the retired old doctor, Sun, and deceived them with false appearances: I let my son replace the orphans of Zhao State, and the old man Sun was responsible for saving the orphans, and then reported to him personally. After listening to the report, he brutally killed the old man Gongsun and the "orphan of Zhao". Jin witnessed a bloody massacre from top to bottom, but dared to speak out in anger. People gnash their teeth behind Cheng Ying's back and beg for honor. In the face of all this, Cheng Ying can only endure grief and indignation and bear it silently.

For more than ten years, Cheng Ying has painstakingly educated and trained Wu Zhao to be a young man with both civil and military skills. In order to get close to Tu'an Gu, he asked Wu Zhao to admit that Tu'an Gu was his adoptive father. Finally one day, he told Wu Zhao the truth. With the help of the general who came back from the garrison, he drew his sword and stabbed his enemy, telling him that he was an orphan of Zhao and must not be hacked. The Yuan Dynasty (1206- 1368) drama Revenge of the Orphan Zhao was translated into Orphan China by Voltaire, a famous French writer, in 1775, which has a certain influence in Europe.
