Because the original dagger was given by Chiang Kai-shek, the handle was engraved with the words "from Jiang Zhongzheng", and it was called "Zhongzheng Sword" over time. Later, this dagger became more and more popular, even though it was not given by Jiang Zhongzheng. It was also called "Zhongzheng Sword", so this "Zhongzheng Sword" became synonymous with the official dagger in this specific historical period of the Republic of China.
