2.① Information systems and information processing existed at the beginning of human civilization, but it was not until the appearance of electronic computers that they developed rapidly with the leap of information technology and the growth of information demand in modern society. The first electronic computer came out in 1946. In the past 50 years, information system has gone through the process from single computer to network, from low level to high level, from electronic data processing system (EDPS) to management information system (MIS), to decision support system (DSS), and from data processing to intelligent processing.
②EDPS is characterized by computerization of data processing, aiming at improving the efficiency of data processing. It is divided into two stages: single data processing and comprehensive data processing. The biggest feature of MIS is its high concentration, which can centralize the data and information in the organization for rapid processing and unified use. Another feature is the use of quantitative scientific management methods to support decision-making through forecasting, planning optimization, management and regulation. DSS is a new stage of MIS development. DSS is a management information system that combines database processing with the optimization calculation of economic management mathematical model, and has the functions of management, auxiliary decision-making and prediction. EDPS, MIS and DSS each represent a certain stage of information system development, but they are still developing independently and crossing each other.
③ 1993, www appeared on the Internet, which created unprecedented conditions for the networking of information systems. In recent years, the management information system is developing from the inside to the outside of the enterprise, and many new concepts such as e-commerce, e-government, supply chain management information system, virtual enterprise and online transaction negotiation support system have emerged. E-commerce plays an important role in the networking of information systems.
