I. Training objectives

Museology majors cultivate export-oriented, applied and compound talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, who can skillfully use professional skills, not only know the professional knowledge of museology, but also have certain management ability. They can engage in museum administration, exhibition design, public propaganda, archaeological excavation and cultural relics protection, and can conduct preliminary research on museum science, archaeology and cultural heritage.

Second, the basic training requirements

Learning museum science needs to understand and master the basic theory of Marxism, which has a profound and extensive historical foundation. At the same time, the study of this major needs the combination of basic theory and practical application. In addition to mastering the basic theory, you should also have the practical operation ability of museum display design, museum collection management, cultural relics appreciation and research.

Third, the academic system and degree.

(1) Educational system: four years. The school implements a flexible academic system, allowing students to complete their studies in stages. However, the longest time to have a student status is not more than eight years, and the cumulative study time is not more than six years.

(2) Degree: In accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and the school on the award of degrees, the qualified students are awarded a bachelor's degree in history.

(1) Main courses: General History of China, General History of the World, Ancient Chinese, Selected Works of History, General Theory of Archaeology, Introduction to Religion and History.

(2) Characteristic courses: an overview of the frontier research of ethnology and Dunhuang studies.

VI. Course Structure and Credit Allocation

Students in this major must complete 154 credits. Among them, there are 96 credits for compulsory courses (including 38 credits for public basic courses and 58 credits for professional basic courses), 43 credits for elective courses (3 1 credit for professional courses and 0/2 credit for elective courses) and 0/5 credits for extracurricular activities and practical teaching. The history base class is specially established by the state to train outstanding historical reserve talents and revitalize the basic humanities. Therefore, its training goal is very clear, that is, to train a group of historical professionals who can meet the needs of China's historical development in the 2 1 century, have a deep professional foundation and high theoretical literacy, have a preliminary grasp of scientific research methods, have a broad vision, love their major, and are competent for teaching and scientific research after graduation.
