Sean (? -186) was a famous politician in the early Western Han Dynasty. His ancestors were Koreans in the Warring States period, and his grandfather and father were Han Zhaohou, King Xuanhui, King Xiang and King Aihui successively. He is known as the "fifth generation Korean" and is a meritorious family in Korea. After Qin destroyed Korea, he devoted himself to serving the country, plotting to recover North Korea and making friends with assassins. He once crusaded against Qin Shihuang in Bolangsha (now southeast of Yuanyang County, Henan Province), and later joined Liu Bang as an important counselor. During the Chu-Han War, he helped Liu Bang to destroy Xiang Yu. After the establishment of the Han Dynasty, he was named Liu Hou. Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, praised him for "strategic planning, winning the battle thousands of miles away" (Historical Records, Stay in Hou Family).
