The book devoted a lot of space to Lao Du's exile and his obsession and persistence in writing poems. "Poetry is my home" is the tradition of the old Du family. Du Fu's wife is rarely involved in the book. Lao Du married all his life, loyal to the monarch and loving his wife.
On the train, we expect that there will be Du Fu's idol Li Bai in the dance drama, there will be an Anshi rebellion, there will be "three officials and three parting", there will be a thatched cottage by the Huanhua River, there will be a stubborn "charming child lying in the bed" and there will be "a house by the bed leaking nowhere" ...
After entering the theater, the fifth row of our tickets is actually in the middle of the second row of the stage, so we can clearly see the dancer's demeanor and get a suitable C position. The screen showed the choreographers: Han Zhen and Zhou Liya, and I was filled with expectation at once. They wrote the stunning dance "Only this Green" in this year's Spring Festival Evening.
After watching it for two hours, it was almost out of line with our expectations.
There is no singing by Li Bai in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, no thatched cottage by the Huanhua River, and no poems by Du Fu. Dance is used to interpret Du Fu's life, Du Fu's poems and the history of the Tang Dynasty. Dance drama has created two images with great space: Du Fu's wife who has been waiting for her husband to come home all her life, and two Du Fu in the same time and space. The subtitle of the dance drama Tang Dynasty Written by One Man shows the rise and fall of the prosperous Tang Dynasty through Du Fu's life.

When the dancers floated onto the stage, I felt that they were too thin to meet the standards of fat beauty in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Only the round face leading the dance is a little Tang Nv. As soon as the dancers of "Wei Qing" appeared in the Spring Festival Evening, the graceful waist of willow branches gave me a slim aesthetic style in the Song Dynasty.
However, the physical defects of the dancers in "Two Ways" were suddenly covered up by wonderful performances.
The dress is not gorgeous, but it is solemn enough, with a wide skirt and a "carpet" at the back. The dancer walked lightly on the stage, with a towering bun on her head and a big Bai Mudan on her head, which was simple and charming. "Hanging in their temples? Jade flowers hang on the sideburns. Behind them is a train full of pearls and rhythmic bearers. "It is completely different from the beauty of Du Fu's poems, but it has no sense of disobedience and needs artistic treatment on the stage.
The dancer's movements are light and graceful, showing the lady's reserve and exquisiteness. Especially those hands and fingers are so charming that they accurately interpret the "delicate hands" and "ten fingers like onions" in classical poetry. The most fascinating thing is that the beautiful woman (leading the dance) finally lies on the stage, posing lazily, and really interprets the charm of "many beautiful women on the waterfront of Chang 'an enjoy the cool, accept, be aloof, sweet and sincere".
Let's dance. I'm totally drunk. Wake up a little, where are Du Fu's squints and sarcastic daggers?
The most difficult thing to see is the contradiction between the two Du Fu.
Two Du Fu appeared on the stage, dressed exactly the same, and a young Du Fu had a smooth face. A middle-aged Du Fu, with a unshaven beard and a thin face, was full of vicissitudes and poverty. At first, I thought he was Du Fu's father. As a result, both of them had close physical contact with Du Fu's wife, and I realized that they were both Du Fu. I don't understand the director's design intention, only to see the middle-aged Du Fu laughing at the young Du Fu. Among them, the middle-aged Du Fu has more scenes, richer inner monologues and more contradictions. Later, I went to check some information. The ballet chose twin actors, one playing Du Fu and the other playing Du Fu's shadow. From this perspective, the play is more of Du Fu's shadow, which is the ideal Du Fu. Shadow, of course, to ridicule the reality of Du Fu, life frustrated, flustered, like a clown.
At the curtain call, in the warm applause of the audience, two Du Fu saluted the audience hand in hand. I didn't know that they would actually be twin brothers. Obviously, one is fat, one is thin, one is young and the other is old.
Du's wife is a good wife, dressed simply from beginning to end, with a good face. I remember when I was in college, the teacher once said: Du Fu wrote a poem about his wife, which was particularly beautiful: "Clouds are wet, jade shoulders are cold and the moon is wet." The fragrant mist wetted her hair, and the clear moon reflected her snow-white arms. She still stands under the moon and misses her husband (Du Fu). In the ballet, Du's wife either bid farewell to her husband's long journey or wait for his return. Every time she comes back, she is not glamorous, but an image of a loser.
Once, when Lao Du came back, his wife was holding the baby and looked miserable. When he met Du Fu, he punched her husband in the chest, and Du Fu's youngest son starved to death. "The youngest son starved to death" is the tragedy of the old Du family, and it is also a microcosm of the people's tragedy at that time.
After all, it's the first time to watch ballet and I'm sitting in position C. I came down to recite Lao Du's "Two Ways", "Car Shop" and "Aijiangtou" again to pay tribute to Lao Du.
